Hi, with regards to your tags, what is "caed-aspec" ?
Aspec identities in some way impacted by past trauma. Where your sense of attraction is shaped by those experiences.
They are a bit of a controversial topic in some spaces because supposedly that doesn’t actually happen and people who say that their identity is affected by trauma are promoting “asexuals/aromantics/other aspecs aren’t real, they’re just traumatized and that’s why they don’t want relationships”.
There’s also the general idea of attraction being the most important thing and that losing it or having it shaped/impacted by that is a tragedy. Like, more of one than trauma would already be. And you need to cure it as fast as possible in therapy because there’s no way that you could be happy or content without sex/romance/other tertiary attraction. Even when… most people who identify as caedspec are also otherwise aspec and their attraction is the least of their problems.
I’m not the best person to explain it but I don’t know if others would be better.
