(how grotesque you are.)
He hasn’t chosen to clean the body, instead opting for it to remain desecrated and filthy. It’s what kind like him deserved, and Mayuri found it humorous in some way. After all, he took the time to drag the body. He took the responsibility of rehabilitating him even if it served no long term purpose for one such as he. It was both aggravating and curious, something that the scientist hadn’t humored in a long while. Curiosity did tend to create odd, if abstract situations, and this would be one of many.
“Hmph,” he sighed out, attention never once leaving the presently immobile body.
(tick... tock, tick... tock.)
Thoughts seamlessly moved alongside the digital clock that hung somewhere within the confines of the laboratory. Its ticks were reminiscent of a traditional clock, and Mayuri made certain of its monotonous tone.
(i hate you for taking me away from more important matters.)
. . .tick. . . . . .tock. . .
“Yes, you should be waking up any time now,” Mayuri murmured, both impatient for and anticipating the imminent barrage of what could only be predicted as chaos. “I am just oozing with anxiety,” he couldn’t help but add, as if to give himself some sort of leverage. Brows began to knit together as eyes started to glance elsewhere.
For what it was worth, Mayuri had been thoughtful enough to bound his newest “patient” to the table. It was barbaric, yes, but he thought of it as necessary. He certainly didn’t approve even of the thought of several IVs suddenly being ripped out be it due to shock, to anger, or whatever other juvenile emotion that had escaped his thoughts. On cue, Mayuri shifted his attention back to the clock and waited for it to pass onto the next minute.
That’s all he needed before proceeding.
hey talk abt grimmjow :^}
MEME: ask my character about anyone in their life! (tentatively) accepting!
(he is destruction. perhaps, the closest thing to the very embodiment of.)
Golden eyes rolled, almost in a motion that implied their intentions to get into the back of his skull. Instead, they paused once he was staring skywards. He wondered, perhaps for the sheer fact of comedy, if the Espada were even worth such an explanation. From his observations and gatherings of data, Mayuri already knew what the arrancar was like. He was, quite stereotypically so, a man of little words. That was what Mayuri found aggravating about him, but it also drew him closer to the source.
“Espada,” such a word escaped lips with vague disdain as fingers began to drum lightly upon metallic desk. “Espada… Espada.”
(i absolutely detest the espada.)
(yet, they provide quite the form of entertainment.)
A rude chuckle escaped forth from pondering mouth, ending with a soft and dull snort. Yes, it was easy to see that he wasn’t necessarily… fond of Grimmjow’s actions nor was he of his behavior, either. Anyone with working eyes could see as much, but they could swiftly try to bring Mayuri down by exposing his charity work done upon the arrancar. What was its purpose? Fingers would come to a sharp halt upon realizing the silent question that hung within the air.
“I’m not accustomed to him,” simply and shortly said, tone not once betraying him in this instance. “He is what you’d expect from one of Aizen’s own–”
(but he’s different. there’s a sensation of overwhelming individuality erupting off of him.)
“–but he manages to be distinct.”
(why was i to take care of him? because no one else could.)
“He’s useful in his own bizarre way, I suppose,” he said, voice gradually lowering to that of a murmur’s level as he progressed further in his speech. “What he needs is discipline, and I can only imagine how laughable an idea that was in Aizen’s mind.” He had to snort again at the very idea, because he knew better than to presume such a smart idea would arise within that traitor’s head.
(no, he thrives off of chaos. discipline is practically sacrilegious to a creature such as he.)
“Sometimes I wonder if I should’ve left him in that scalding, mind-numbing desert. At times like those, I must say to myself, what a foolish idea–” Mayuri gave a shake of his head, raising one hand defensively to fully cement his true feelings on the idea, “–because he is definitely quite the asset to us now. He did assist us, did he not? I figure it was only fair of me to return the favor.”
(he’ll die one of these days. go up in flames. that is his destiny.)
“… H’oh. I do admit, often times I wonder what his final moments will be like.”
Leaning back in his chair, Mayuri gave a small smirk.
“I’m sure, whatever it may be, it will be truly heinous.”
