The scent of the sea was strong at port, with the piers tracing the waters sparingly. It was a privilege to be so close to it, a wonder she had thought herself unlikely to ever see, and the shore made itself a welcome home beneath her feet.

It was rather busy though, she reflected, having ungraciously bumped into a man who wore the sea salt like a second sleeve. The contact was jarring.

Shaggydog, to be honest. It’s quite odd to have a pet as a best friend, but his direwolf is the one constant thing in his life. The two have a very close and unspeakable bond. Besides his siblings, Little Walder and Big Walder come pretty close (that was until the Red Wedding).

Well, her name is Madeline. I’ve known her since middle school and now we’re in college. She has a bit of growing up to do and drives me crazy sometimes, but she was there for me when I needed someone to vent to. :)
