Rules of the Game | Soohyuk & Luhan

Basketball scrimages were the norm for the team and its supporters. Someone would just scream, “hey, let’s start a game -” and then the whole gym would flock to form troupes. Or cliques. Luhan, the troublemaker, was often an active participant in such events. In fact, he was a starter as the team shooting guard - so he’d take these opportunities to practice as much as he can to remain “the best”; however, there was a friendly rival that could challenge him.

The young Aero Teaching Assistant, Lee Soohyuk, had the makings of a great basketball player. Even though he wasn’t on the team, it was during these games when he felt provoked - in a “yeah, you can do better way” - which was of course good.

First Round: His team versus Soohyuk’s.

The ref approached both troupes, his finger waved sternly as he explained the rules - which Kinwai never listened to. His short attention span could only do so much.

After the the group began to disperse and take their place, he followed in suit. His adrenaline began to pump, as he itched in anticipation as he crouched.

“And begin!”

At first, it had been an honest mistake.

Taking pride in his outgoing and - if he did say so himself - charming personality, Jimin had made it his personal mission to greet this new person. He had never seen the other male before, or maybe he had just never seen him around, but he had decided then and there that he was going to make friends with him. Well, try to, at least. 

It had surprised him when he had found out that the man wasn’t actually a student, but rather a teaching assistant at the school. That explains the lack of uniform, he had thought, but this didn’t deter him from his mission of trying to create a friendship. However, despite a genuine desire initially, Jimin had now adopted it more as a running joke than anything else; the words “are you sure you’re not a student?” often accompanied with a mischievous glint in his eyes and a cheeky grin on his face. 

That’s probably a reason why it wasn’t surprising to see him making a beeline for the elder, putting on the most innocent expression he could muster up. “Hello, my favourite non-student!” He chirped,  hugging his textbooks tightly against his chest to avoid them from falling to the ground. He knew he’d probably just get the same response he’d always gotten, but it still amused him enough anyway. 

“Are you willing to be my friend today? Or am I gonna have to ask you every day this week? ”
