Domino Game | Luhan & Yeri
caesyr
It was 1 a.m. on a school night. As expected, all students were nestled in their rooms, resting for the next day. Well all - except one. The silence of the Caelum school grounds was disturbed by the shouts and screams of authority that demanded the culprit to “cease and desist”.
It was Luhan - the notorious school rebel rouser.
His heels desperately dug in the grassy field as he fled from the campus security. What kind of trouble did he stir this time? A poorly thought out practice session in the maze after hours - when he caught the attention of staff with a burning bush. Although foolish, he was unbelievably fast.
With each harrowing step, he widened the proximity between himself and his tyrant. He made a left into the student buildings. Without a thought, he barged into one of them - anything but pyralis - in hopes of throwing off security who believed he was in hot pursuit of a fire student ...

caeboah:
caeluhan
twice in a week.
no wonder she’s in a foul mood. the dark cloud above her head is almost tangible as she walks across the hallway, jaws clenched along with her fists. her first detention was deserved; she was unlucky when she was caught out past curfew. the second one she felt it was unjustified- was it necessary to give a student detention of the teacher didn’t like the way she looked at them? the aquarius always had a glare in her eyes when she wasn’t trying to look friendly- everything and everyone were at the wrong place and the wrong time. the second detention could have been completely avoidable. as of now, she’s unsure if she’s angry that she got caught, or the fact that she committed such an act.
so much for trying to stay quiet in caelum. boah attracted trouble, and trouble attracted her. still, she had to be thankful for the fact that all she had to do was spend an hour or two in class in an empty room instead of sitting in an office writing an essay self reflection.
thinking that she’s alone, she kicks the door open, one hand wrapped around the strap of her backpack hanging loosely on her shoulder and the other stuffed inside the pocket of her skirt. she almost misses him by a glance when she walks in, a curtain of short brown hair whipping around her face as she turns her head to give him a second look.
“ah, what is this…” she mutters to herself, though she’s sure that he can hear her.
she and luhan have been friends once; it was she who cut him off completely. boah had no longer wanted to be a part of the group who may have led a girl to her death- especially in boah’s lead. luhan was never cruel, but he was part of the awful reminder that she’d been trying to get rid off. it was difficult at first, but three years was a long time; her old friends had given up trying to bring her back.
there’s a moment of hesitation as she considers kicking him out to another room, but that might a disrupt the unspoken rule of her so called self redemption. instead she chooses to ignore him, averting her gaze and sitting as far away as possible from him.
A whiff of tension swept through the room as soon as she entered - but Luhan thought nothing of it. His buddy was finally back! That’s all that mattered, right? He attempted to get her attention with a playful smirk - but she didn’t seem to reciprocate the same mischievous energy that she usually did.
Odd.
It seemed like forever since the pair last interacted. Their usual routine seemed nill. No chuckles or blunt gossip about the detention proctor took this job way too seriously. There was never sarcasm though, since Luhan had trouble understanding sarcasm. Something was off - and he couldn’t put a finger on it.
Rumors of her attempt to turn a new leaf spread throughout the school at the beginning of the term. But he didn’t have the fortune to cross paths with her until now - though he should’ve put two and two together and realized her disappearance from their favourite hangout, detention, spoke volumes itself. They were regulars afterall. But that was before.
Although naturally bright, social cues weren’t his thing. So he continued on bugging his fellow troublemaker, or the empty shadow of what he believed she still was. “Pst -”
No response.
“Pst, Boah - Hey hiya!” He started to become aware of the front she was putting up. “Mr. Kwon’s sporting his pumpkin tie ....” Still nothing. Flustered, he stared at her until she either responded or he came up with a different way to get her attention.
He wouldn’t stop until something happened.
Rules of the Game | Soohyuk & Luhan
caesoohyuk
Basketball scrimages were the norm for the team and its supporters. Someone would just scream, “hey, let’s start a game -” and then the whole gym would flock to form troupes. Or cliques. Luhan, the troublemaker, was often an active participant in such events. In fact, he was a starter as the team shooting guard - so he’d take these opportunities to practice as much as he can to remain “the best”; however, there was a friendly rival that could challenge him.
The young Aero Teaching Assistant, Lee Soohyuk, had the makings of a great basketball player. Even though he wasn’t on the team, it was during these games when he felt provoked - in a “yeah, you can do better way” - which was of course good.
First Round: His team versus Soohyuk’s.
The ref approached both troupes, his finger waved sternly as he explained the rules - which Kinwai never listened to. His short attention span could only do so much.
After the the group began to disperse and take their place, he followed in suit. His adrenaline began to pump, as he itched in anticipation as he crouched.
“And begin!”
New Flame | Soojung & Luhan
Photography was first period, and it was a great start to the day already. Older students were graced with all new camera for the class, as in previous years the younger you were, the older camera you started out on. She played with it almost the entire period, zooming in and out and checking out all the different angles the device could get. There was a smile and curious glint permanently plastered onto her face. Better than the sullen look she’d had previously.
She had Aero second period, and luckily teacher had let the photography students go free early so they could test out the camera. Soojung didn’t have to be told twice before she was out of there after thanking her teacher. She was looking through the lens now, zooming in and out of different spots and taking various pictures of student life. It was when she kept panning left that she noticed something very bright out of the corner of the lens. With one more turn she saw someone’s arm on fire through the camera. She almost dropped the camera, thanking her lucky stars that her strap was on. But that wasn’t the main concern, that title belonged to a stranger on fire.
At first she just watched, remembering she went to a school with elementals. People who could control themselves. He had it under control.. Didn’t he? He started screaming and flailing, which Soojung took as cue that he was suddenly a fish out of water.
Running over as quickly as she could, with a tiny help from a gust of wind, she started to pull off her jacket and held it tightly in her hands. “Hold still!” she yelled, hitting at the guy’s arm with the jacket until the fire was put out. Her once gray sweater was now charred and black, and her hands started to sting. She recognized the guy on fire, Luhan. He was only a year younger than her. She held his wrist lightly, looking over his arm for any sign of injury.
“Are you okay? Are you burned? Can you get burned? Everyone can Soojung aish- Are you okay?”
What happened next was a blur, at least to him. The ignition, her appearance and the swift wind seemed to happen in the same instant. Thank goodness she was in the area! The quick thinking of the fellow elemental was his saving grace.
“Uh -” he still needed some time to take in the odd chain of events, “- thanks for that.” His eyes remain fixated on her charred sweater. “And sorry about your that.”
Guilt - he felt it heavily.
“I do this thing where I randomly ignite - no biggie.” He tried to make light of the situation but he can’t shake off his shame. “Seriously, is there anything I can do to make it up to you?
✍ Sehun’s hair is a tuft of unwillingness atop of his head, graceful black standing upright and across. By the time his phone buzzes for a third time a large hand clamps around he device, and he hastily unlocks the screen, under the impression this is An Emergency.
{ message » lu han } I almost set my bed on fire because of you.
{ message » lu han } It’s 3AM.
{ message » lu han } What could you possibly want from me at 3AM?
He contemplates adding that Lu Han isn’t even fully coherent at 3PM, let alone at it’s night time counterpart but he decides snark is not the way to handle this situation. Maybe another time.
His first instinct is to text a joke. A fiery joke, but he stops himself. It was a miracle in itself that Sehun even replied.
[txt → sehun ] Don’t ask why, just sneak out of your room because its past curfew. Meet me in front of the tree by pyralis.
[txt → sehun ] Bring butter if you can - and a flashlight. And a magnet.
[txt → sehun ] If you can’t its cool. Just come! I need your help.
[txt → sehun ] Also very tempted to tell a fire joke to wake you up.

“Hell yeah, I’m a zodiac. A fire sign, my friend!” He tightly embraced his childhood friend in a hug, unable to control his excitement. “Guess what? My grandparents were actually teachers at this school, and my mom was a student. They didn’t have any elemental schools like this in China at the time - or so they tell me.”
He released his hold on his friend. “I’ve missed you, man. I literally sat by my scooter for a month. holding onto the small hope that you’d come back. My grandparents kept on trying to convince me you moved out of the country for good, but I didn’t believe them. I’m still just as stubborn.” The firecracker smirked.
“Nothing too exciting happened afterwards - I went to a good high school, graduated early, got in thanks to a good word from my grandpa. And I had a girlfriend for a bit, ha! Scored! Your homeboy’s got game.” He stopped himself. “I’ll stop rambling for now. You didn’t tell me anything yet! At least update me on something. It’s been almost seven or eight years since I last saw you. You owe me more than that!”
The Time Optimist | Luhan & Cho
caexcho
Being late was one of Luhan’s charms - actually it was one of his self-proclaimed charms, but he’d never admit that. If there was something the student body could always count on, it would be his terrible attendance. On a given day, one would look out their classroom window, wide eyed in anticipation of the appearance of the struggling fifth year.
And today was no different.
The firecracker sprinted down the cemented path to reach the cluster of buildings. His legs ran on pure adrenaline with a dash of fear. Fear? His Korean class had a test today - and if he was late, the poor boy would have to make up for it after school.
Nope, not today! He usually was accustom to such punishments due to his lack of punctuality, but he couldn’t afford staying behind today. It was the last soccer practice before finals, and the team was going to dedicate the whole session to strategies; if he missed out, it would affect his reliability as the star mid-fielder.
With only minutes to spare, he had to take his usual detour through the vents. By now, staff on spare would stop any individuals at the front door in order to not disrupt opening exercises. So basically if you were five minutes early, you were still late. He’s been caught in this mixup several times, costing him another “L” next to his name.
In order to avoid this obstacle, Luhan ran to the back wall of the main building, and crouched down in front of an air duct opening - his hand now ignited in flame as he started to heat and loosen the metal opening.

With headphones shoved in each ear, Luhan hummed - quite obnoxiously -along to the music, his hand tapped to each beat as he waited impatiently in line for lunch. He wasn’t looking forward to the subpar cooking of the new lunch lady, whom he was quick to make an enemy of when he confessed the meatballs were lacking; But boy was he starving.
As he lurched closer and closer, his stomach anticipated its next meal and growled ferociously. With the entrance in sight, the firecracker scanned over the selection and immediately shrank. Everything looks like it was stirred in the same watery pot. The mac and cheese looks runny and that mashed potato looks more like potato soup ... His lip contorted downwards in a grimace - the image ironically contrasted the upbeat tunes of Pharrell that reminded him to be happy.
Now immersed in his revelation of disappointment, he didn’t realize his proximity to the food as the new lunch lady interrupted him. “Oh, you.” Her voice lacked warmth. “What do you want? My dry meatballs?”
“They were lacking. Never said they were dry,” he retorted.
“Well, tell me what you want so you can get out of my sight. Anything else lacking, huh kid?”
“Your rice looks tough, just to let you know.” The lunch lady shot daggers at the student in response to his nonchalant tone. “The mac ‘n cheese is runny so I’d rather not ...” He stated without missing a beat.. “ Maybe those tacos. Only appetizing thing here it see-”
“Here,” the lunch lady responded curtly. She shoved a plate of three tacos into his hands. “Now get of my sight. There’s other students waiting.”
The Sagittarius smirked in response, “Alright.” He walked out of the serving station, pleased with the false idea that he had triumphed over his biggest difficulty of the day. He remained unaware of the ominous approach of a figure not too far away.

Young Volcanoes | Jongin & Luhan
caekji
It was just shy of seven a.m, and the sun had just risen above the fiery household. There was a serene silence throughout the dorm. It would’ve been quite a nice sight to take in - too bad it was broken by the appearance of an eager fifth year, who fervently emerged from his own door. With a spring in his step, Luhan scurried his way down the steps of the pyralis staircase to make an important wake up call to a very dear friend of his.
“Oh, Jongin,” he sang as he approached room 202, “Oh, Jongin.” He knocked eagerly and eagerly. “C’mon Jongin, wake up, I have something to show you!” The boy continued to repeat obnoxious attempts of encouragements to wake up for several minutes; his grip on his gift tightened with each passing second, until finally he heard a series of slow steps. “Ah, Jongin! Jongin, you’re awake man, this is great. Today’s gonna be great day, I feel it.” As the lock shifted, Luhan began to beam. He couldn’t contain his excitement as the door cautiously opened. “Surprise!” He revealed the offering with one swift movement of his left hand that once remained behind him.
Two matching tie dye shirts that read “ Sagi Squad “ stared his junior in the face.

Someone Call the Doctor | Jiyong & Luhan
caeyong
The anxious sagittarius ran through the halls of the school in a frantic search - not for something, but for someone. His left hand tightly gripped the other as he made his fourth lap around the fourth floor.
For some odd reason, the school nurse was nowhere to be found - even in the infirmary. Everytime he passed by, not a single soul dwelled in the immediate area. At first Luhan thought he’d be in the next room over, but after several minutes of searching with no sign of him, his desperation increased exponentially.
This wasn’t his first visit to the infirmary - in fact he was a regular - but he knew for a fact that his injury needed immediate attention, for his health was dwindling by the second. “Anybody?” he begged as he made his way for the fifth time. “Aha!” A quickly fleeting view of an individual in uniform gave him hope as he scurried in behind.
“OH, NURSE HYUNG -” he shouted as he entered “- NURSE HYUNG SOMETHING’S WRONG WITH ME!” The firecracker urged the nurse closer as he slowly revealed his injury - the boy winced in pain as each finger alleviated from the injury - a cut on the tip of his index finger.
“So basically, nurse hyung,” he gulped in fear of uttering the next sentence out loud, for he feared of admitting it, “It’s infected - and I am a ticking time bomb of death.”

The freshman nonchalantly navigated through the cramped halls of Caelum. His backpack was slung over on his left shoulder as his right hand swung with the same cool and collected energy.
But it quickly disappeared when he was caught off guard by a familiar face a few lockers down. He stopped in his tracks to scan his senior over a few times. Who is it? Who is it? He snapped his fingers trying to put a name to the face. Then it hit him, a wide grin now glued to his face.
Lu Han now contrasted the composed individual he was seconds prior as he pushed his way through the masses. His feverish excitement got the best of him as he leaped onto the back of his childhood friend.
“No way in hell would I think I’d find Aro Freakin’ Zhang at this school.” His mandarin quickly flowed out of his mouth as he jumped off Aro’s back. “How’d you been buddy?”
