I may sound slightly insane for shipping Astolfo and Caeneus as much as I do considering they've never actually spoken to each other (as far as I know) but I really really think they can have such a rich dynamic based on their identities and forms of expression. Personality wise, it's simple bc it's pretty much "sun x moon"/"happy x angry" or maybe like "jock x popular girl."

But I think we can get something pretty good considering their lore. Astolfo is pretty simple; since they're simply nonbinary/genderfluid. They choose to present femininely for fun and love for all things cute, despite being AMAB. Caeneus on the other hand, is a trans man brought back in his original body. I think there's something juicy about having Caeneus being conflicted about how Astolfo is so willingly hyperfeminine, and having to live with the feminine body he has unfortunately been regiven. Astolfo is fine and completely comfortable in their own skin, and could perhaps see something in that. I also fully believe that Astolfo is stupid(/pos) enough to not even question Caeneus' gender whatsoever. They see him in any outfit, masc or femme, and they're always gonna think about him as a man by default; honkers out or not.

Idk!!! I just see potential for growth!! This is just me rambling to the void about my rare pair bc I got no one to bother personally in my discord. I just think Cae deserves a cute Hello Kitty girl to smooch him up 24/7 that will always respect him without a second thought. (Bc Astolfo never makes a thought, let alone a second one lmao.)
