fundraising campaign ends tomorrow, 6/19!
Thanks so much to everyone who has contributed to the fundraising campaign - we're up to $3,200 and that much closer to making a rockin' album with some promotional muscle behind it! We'll be accepting donations up through tomorrow night. Click here to donate! We'll also be playing a show at Cafe Muse tomorrow night with a full band. The set will include nearly all the songs from the new album, so you can get a sneak preview before we go into the studio! Come one down.
Last week Rita and I managed to sneak off to a favorite coffee shop/bistro the Cafe Muse. In the duration, I’m afraid her condition has worsened to the point that it’s unlikely we’ll be making any trips outside the house for coffee again.
I have truly been blessed to have spent the last twenty five years with Rita, and I shall cherish every minute we have left together.

Eating Is Good

Lost Food Files: March
Lost Food Files: March
Hey guys!
Since I am such a foodie and serial plate picture-taker, I decided to make a post out of all the places I dined but didn’t necessarily post about.
Starting off with my BFF who threw down (as usual) for Sunday dinner at her house.
Pork chops with yams, greens and hot water cornbread. OW!
Next stop was a place I frequented at least three times this month: Mercury Burger Bar

Hey hey Detroit Foodie. I've got a tough one for you: Do you know any good dining spots in the suburban Detroit area?
But of course...one of my favs is Cafe Muse over in Royal Oak! Everything there is delicous, the atmosphere is casual & quaint, and the service is superb!
Other dining places i highly recommend visiting in the burbs:
Zingerman's Deli (Ann Arbor) - Well worth the hike & price on their creme de la creme quality breads, cheeses, sandwiches, chocolates, and ice cream/gelato.
Hamido or Tuhama's (Dearborn) - Both places make AMAZING shwarmas!
Ronin (Royal Oak) - Love the whole chill vibe here, the beautiful zen-like decor, and of course the tasty sushi & happy hour specials!
Megha's Athidhi (Sterling Heights) - IMHO, this place serves up THE BEST & TASTIEST Indian food around! Tip: Go here for their $7.99 lunch buffet and try all the delectable Indian food that Megha's has to offer : )
Royal Eagle Restaurant (Harper Woods) - This is one of those places that takes you by surprise, not only for it's quasi-secret location, but also for its fantastic freshly prepared foods - all around great!
Mani Osteria (Ann Arbor) - One of my favorite Italian restaurants! Anything you order here, whether it's one of their pasta dishes, pizza, a side order of arancini, a glass of vino, etc...are all superb!
Fresco Wood Oven Pizzeria (Rochester Hills) - Supino's takes the #1 spot for best pizza, but Fresco is def a close contender! You wouldn't expect it given that the pizzeria is located in a strip-mall (i know) but the pizza is simply buonisimo!!!
La Marsa (Troy) - Outside of Dearborn, La Marsa has THE BEST Lebanese cuisine around! Fresh baked pita, smooth & creamy hummus, slow cooked lamb, what more could you ask for? : )
Mae's (Pleasant Ridge) - Great diner with lots of tasty, healthy, and homemade foods! Fyi: avoid the lines and visit Mae's either for a late lunch or very early breakfast!
Frittata (Clawson) - This tiny tiny tiny dining spot serves up scrumptious frittatas (an Italian styled omplette) all in an adorable quaint setting!
