Mochi moves in his sleep.  A lot.  These pics were shot about five minutes apart.  He sneezed his way out of the hammock.

His head is as big as hers already, and his paws are almost as big.  He’s gonna be a big boy.

I also made the corner hammocks shown, as well as the fleece cover for the tiers of their cage.  It’s a Kaytee cage, with two tiers missing- Echo used to poop on them if we had more than two in it, and we lost them when we moved.  As soon as we get their new cage, I’ll be making covers for that one as well.

DIY Cage Liners!

So I've decided to go bedding free for my guinea pigs. I was thinking of ways to save money and found a cool way to do it. Switch from bedding to fleece! I've had a fleece liner for exactly 1 week today and I really like it.

I love the fact that I can make them myself and choose what patterns to use.  You can easily buy one but depending on the size of your cages- they may be a little hard to find, unless you find someone who's willing to make you a customized one. Since I have two kaytee midwest cages not C&C cages, it was easy for me to make my own. I sadly do not have the space for a C&C cage otherwise I would have loved to make my own.

Now because you have fleece not bedding, the fleece should be cleaned of poop everyday. I use a little broom and pan. But I may use the vaccum cleaner. But honestly, I'm not bothered by it.

So to make the announcement short- I really like using the fleece liners, and hopefully save a lot of money.
