:0 could u post a picture of ur aforementioned cat guard? it sounds very useful but i am bad at visualizing things jfjddbdh

Here is the cat guard! I made it because I didn't want her grabbing the rats tails or trying to stick her paws in and so far she hasnt tried to get at them. I just used cardboard from the box the cage itself was in. Its on all sides of the cage and I'm pretty sure the girls appreciate the privacy they get because of it.

Just finished the liner (with a little bit of decor) which took me about 3 days. Literally the biggest pain in my ass but it looks so good and will hopefully keep the floor clean!

You mentioned his cage having a heater--What do you use? :0 I live in PA and ive been looking for something bird safe to keep them warm in the upcoming freezing months

I use the K&H Snuggle Up Bird Warmer. The small size is perfect for me. My human and I have no complaints, and we’ve probably had it on continuously in our living place for about 2 years now. I love to fall asleep against it in the winter when it gets chilly! Combine this heater with a nice warm blanket as a cover at night, and your little guys will be comfy.
