“I’m capable of being normal about my interests” I reassure myself as I add Will Smith Hockey, Macklin Celebrini, Quentin Musty, and Luca Cagnoni to my Tomodachi Life island :)

I ordered a few hockey cards I’m SO EXCITED ABOUT I’m gonna share and ramble about them under the cut :)

First, I got my sibling a signed card by his favorite Barracuda player bc he’s taking me to a game this weekend and did not ask me to pay for my ticket. Here is a silly little guy for you little brother!! I will not be adding any tags or writing his name bc I’m not sure if my sibling is monitoring this players tag and I don’t want him to see his giftie :)

Next, I got myself a couple of Will Smith Hockey cards that were covered by my Venmo balance so they were FREE <3 I’m trying to snatch up a few of his cards because I am in love with him and with the way he plays I only imaging them getting less and less affordable. This one was important to my heart to grab bc it had the first round draft pick stamp :)

This is one of the most beautiful cards I have ever seen, not just including hockey. I used to collect kpop cards and this is giving kpop card level of beauty and I am OBSESSED. Will Smith Hockey my love you are so beautious and talented. The only way this card could be better is if he were smiling or he had his wings but I’ll take the mouth breathing 🙂‍↕️<3

Fun fact: my best friend now refers to WSH as “your mouth breather” ik that’s right 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

Last but not least!!! I’m SO excited about this one!!!! Luca Cagnoni game worn jersey card!! It’s so beautiful! The white and gold makes him look like a deity! That’s my little Keebler elf look at him go!!!!!!

I’ve decided to try to flip some of my old kpop cards for groups I’m not into anymore (I’ll still by keeping my favorites ofc) so I can fund my newly resurfaced hockey cards addiction. I wish I knew where the few cards from my childhood ended up but … NO clue 🥀 but I am excited about this and having a good time :)

Everything under the cut because tbh I don't know how long this will be...

My love with the barracuda has been a fast as hell, slippery slope into madness. Ive been a sharks fan since childhood but my parents aren't sports people so I did not know how minor league teams work or that we would even have one. Let alone one so close to our major league team! Now that i am an adult and can take myself to events and know how to find streams for the things i want to watch i can actually watch and learn about the Cuda and have fallen fast in love. In my opinion? It's hard not to fall in love with them.

A few of my honorable mention Cuda players are:

Nolan Allan (#7) - he was the first guy who caught my eye on the cuda tbh! the first game I attended I was a little hypnotized by his beard but sorry king my attention strayed - good defenseman! watching the way he moves and tries to psych out his opponent by always moving always being ready to follow them is so interesting - i feel so bad for him that he got called up to the sharks and then was immediately sent back down to the cuda bc they wanted Leddy more. brutal. I think it was less than a day. RIP.

Cam Lund (#46) - unfortunately Lund is out for the rest of the season with a wrist injury. He got thrown at the boards during the valentines day game. His arm was between him and the boards and his entire body weight smashed his own arm against the boards and he was immediately Not Okay. The injury update reported he needs surgery to fix his arm </3 - so so sad to see him not finishing this season. i really liked watching him on the ice I think hes going to be a really promising player as long as he can persevere through this injury

Egor Afanasyev (#11) - hes got good hustle, hes willing to get in there, he makes great shots - most importantly? the way he interacts w kids at games is so precious. at the game i went to the other night when they walked off the ice after warmups he stopped and fist bumped every kid lined up in the tunnel waiting to watch them walk through. There was a little girl who was shy but wanted to fist bump him and I have never seen anyone give someone a cuter, gentler fist bump than he gave her. He was smiling, clearly loving giving the kiddos the excitement that comes with the attention of one of the players they were there to watch. It was SO adorable. He smiled at and gave her mom a little nod before continuing down the tunnel. #king

Kasper Halttunen (#14) - not only is he an awesome player that Im excited to keep watching, but Im excited when I see him in Barracuda socmedia videos. It helps that Haltsy and Q Musty (my love) seem to be good pals and they enjoy being silly together. (see 'i bet you thought that was funny' under Musty's section below)

Patrick Giles (#54) - another guy thats making waves and im excited to continue watching his progress

Mattias Havelid (#25) - hes not afraid to make checks and is great on his feet with great hustle - he made eye contact with me multiple times at one game and it made me feel very 'teehee<3' therefore he receives multiple points in my heart for that alone

My Elite Employees

Luca Cagnoni (#42) - literally a keebler elf - fr I love that he seems to just loves the game, loves being on the ice, loves playing his game as best he can. thats something that really draws my affection. That sounds silly bc surely they all love it, but when you watch him it's different. He's having FUN. - Great defense-man especially for a guy who is only in his second season in the AHL. At the game i went to on Wednesday, the goalie made a save and the puck kept moving and got behind him and Cagnoni swept it off of the goal line, preventing the other team from scoring. Hes probably my favorite defenseman in the game currently - he is always moving, always trying to psych the offense - hes not afraid to take shots as a defense-man and that's reflected by his seasons points. My guy is a little beast on the ice with 64 points this season! (16 goals, 36 assists as of 3/14/26) - see also: silly little guy!! full of whimsy!! does adorable little things like sitting on the boards instead of the bench while they shovel ice or whatever other little on-ice game delay. - see also: cutest little smile in the/ entire world!!!! i fear i need visual aids for this.. are you seeing this shit ?!

Quentin Musty (#13) - AKA "MY LOVE" - his nickname is 'Q' - his suit for draft day had to be made on "short time" according to him, but he was able to have them sew in a panel on the inside of the jacket embroidered with 'Q' as well as embroidering his home zip code in the fold of the collar. P.S. he looks lovely in blue <3 - according to a scouting report someone posted on reddit- 'he brings a little bit of everything to the table and does so in a projectable, imposing 6-foot-2 frame. Better still, he's not shy about leveraging every part of it to dispossess opponents of the pick, wreak havoc along the boards and at the net-front, and to barrel down the wing off of the rush. His vision is top-notch, and he's equipped with the cunning and passing skill necessary to connect with layered feeds around skates and sticks." - My favorite video of Q, ft Haltsy. "I bet you thought that was funny. But what if it was the other way around?"
