With their innovative AI project, IBDP students Aditya Dharap and Aamani Susana Maddukuri stood out at the Festival of Hope in Mumbai. By leveraging technology, they aimed to create inclusive workspaces that embrace diversity. Their remarkable project was selected for an exhibition!
The Cambridge Middle wing students conducted a special assembly under the Teacher Exchange Program for the Latin American visitors, Mr. José Victor Cosandey, Mr. Lucas Meier and Ms. Natalia Calderón.
Chef Mario Pereira based in London was invited to India to judge the Young Chef's Olympiad organized by IIHM. As a part of his visit, he is meeting with school children to introduce them to careers in the food industry. Today he was in CHIREC to talk to Stage 8 and 9 students from CAIE. Students were introduced to various opportunities for research, creativity and collaboration in the food industry.
As part of the Halloween day celebration, CAIE Middle wing students dressed in their finest Halloween costumes on 31st October, there was great enthusiasm and zeal among the students early in the morning, and they exuded confidence while parading in their finest costumes. The energy was palpable throughout.
The students of stage C8A continued with the theme of the assembly, ‘Festival of lights-Harbinger of Hope and Happiness’. They also performed a dance performance.
On 17th October, CHIREC saw the first of assemblies for IB11 & IB12 weekly school assembly for the first time since CHIREC reopened after the pandemic. IB 12C conducted the assembly under the supervision and guidance of Ms. Sailaja Prasad, the class teacher. After singing the national song and school prayer, the students began presenting. The theme of the day, as suggested by Ms. Sony Sharma, was ‘Celebrate Green Diwali’
Secondary students of the International section participate in a Folk Dance Competition as a part of their CCA activities.
3D Designing and 3D Printing
Students of Stages 6, 7, 8 were introduced to 3D Designing, Codeblocks and its Applications. They enjoyed learning about the new and emerging technology.
Tinkercad can be a great sandbox for exploring new ideas for organizing a classroom. It is also an empowering tool for students to bring elements from their outside world into the learning environment in positive ways.
It's a relatively simple interface to learn and a great program for getting started with the basics of 3D design, and, as an extension, 3D printing.
