I don´t know about you

But I don´t like living in a world where David Lynch and David Cronenberg struggle to find financing and distribution for their relatively small projects, even though they both have a dedicated and fervent fanbase and Eli Fucking Roth gets $120 million dollars to butcher and make a box office disaster out of "Borderlands".

I just watched Humane. Good stuff. Caitlin Cronenberg’s debut movie is very different from her father’s or brother’s work. Not so much body horror; more domestic horror in a dysfunctional family of rich assholes, like Ready or Not or You’re Next, but all catalyzed by wild stuff going on at the societal level too, so maybe more like The Purge. Some of the social commentary seems to run in the family even if the aesthetic is different.

Also, it’s so funny watching Jay Beruchel be the biggest douchebag while he still sounds like Hiccup HTTYD to me.

Anyway, now we have three Cronenbergs making great movies, hell yeah! Any others wanna step up? Maybe we can get some weird Cronenberg cousins coming out of the woodwork like they’re the Addams family or something?
