honestly imo riverdale has a lot of overlap with the layton series tonally in that it loves to present supernatural mysteries that were, in fact, grounded in logic the whole time, except that logic makes no sense (why would someone invest that much time and money on something with so little output) and often involve supernatural events anyway

BSJFHSDJF man i really wanna watch it now, im gonna be honest it sounds very much up my alley LOL i love stories that just have buckwild explanations for things. esp if its like you mentioned supernatural or anything else thats kindaaaa grounded in reality. its why i enjoyed the ending of plvspw so much i fuckin LOVE that shit genuinely!!
