My cake didn't get stuck!
Some time ago, I mentioned having come across a recipe for a home made cake release. I tried it, and was astounded at how well it works. Absolutely EVERYTHING sticks in my Nordic Ware bundt pan, but this cake just slid right out. Astounding! The recipe I have makes enough to store, but I prefer to make it as I need it. Since the formula calls for equal amounts of each ingredient, it was simple enough. For the bundt pan, I stirred together two tablespoons each of canola oil, shortening, and flour, and set it aside while I made the batter. I didn't coat the pan until the batter was ready to pour, and then used a silicone brush to get every spot well coated. I'd love to hear from you if you try this!
