I’m excited for Chapter 3 already ^^ A prophecy awaits the Commander!

As a small life update also, I managed to completely fracture both my lower leg bones and been a bit... sad for the past 2 months. You don’t realize how much you move until you’re forced not to, lol. In hindsight, I got to leave the airport in an ambulance, didn’t even get through customs. Talk about VIP treatment :)) Will hopefully laugh about that a year from now...  Getting my first scan since the surgery this Monday, and hopefully the ok to start using my leg again <3

Beta testers needed

Ok, first of all, I am alive.

Secondly, I finally decided I need help with testing errors and finding typos. Not sure how many people will be needed, but I was thinking 3-6 maybe, depending also on the answers I get ^^ We can either set up a little discord server or just do it here on Tumblr.

I mainly need someone to point out all the sneaky typos, repetitions and inconsistencies in the story flow. But I am also opened to ideas and implementing other choices if I think they’d fit (and know how to code them). 

Don’t expect many regular updates :)) I’m finishing Chapter 2 soon (hopefully by next weekend, but I feel like I’ve said that many, many times before, lol), but after that, who knows when the next one will happen... @_@

Hiii I hope you're doing well!!

I was in the middle of playing another IF and for some reason Calamity kept swimming around in the back of my head(which isn't unusual lol, I tend to think about your game a lot); so I wanted to see if that project was still in the works or technically on Hiatus? or both ?

Kinda both 😅 It's not an official hiatus, but it's a bit on the backburner for now. I still love the idea and the characters and I have a big chunk of Chapter 3 already written, so I'll definitely continue, but it's going to take a while. It does feel amazing to hear people are still thinking about the game 💕💕

If I may ask, and if it's relevant to the story at all or anything, can you tell us any canon information about MC? Like their background or traits that they'll always have ya know?

Honestly, I think almost everything about MC is up to the player. MC will always kind of want to be a good Commander and for the mission to succeed, but the motivation/circumstances are always going to be personal. Can’t have the story if MC suddenly decided to go be a farmer somewhere hehe. MC also trained for a number of years to be part of the military, so naturally they will always have some fighting skills. 

As of now, MC will always be friends with the twins, but there will be some “opportunities” to lose trust both ways^^

But I hope to make everything else as choice based as possible.

As background, there are 3 options in game. Either orphaned, a military brat or estranged from the family. In the last 2 cases you’ll get to maybe have a small interaction with some family members, but they will be a little bonus to the story and not affect anything. You’ll most likely even be able to refuse the interaction, though it will not happen for a while. Orphan bg may get to talk with the twins’ mom or a cute found family moment with one of the twins^^ Everything else about their past is up to the player :P

What kind of laughs do the ROs have? What kind of things make them laugh?

T - more of a chuckle kind of person, most likely while shaking their head at the sheet absurdity of something (Morgan said).

M - laughs even in inappropriate moments, an infectious laughter from their very soul. Can find something funny in any situation.

K - half scoff, half laugh, with a side of eye roll. Thinks they're too cool when they do it. Mostly laughs at the small mistakes others make.

Q - a loud, belted laugh. Siblings have a good track record of both making Quin lose their mind and laugh their soul out. 

J - oh, you're going to have a lot of work to go to get Jun to genuinely laugh. Most of their laughs nowadays are either ironic or straight out fake. Even if they find something amusing, the layers upon layers they are hiding behind will dictate a certain, less authentic, laugh.

R - joyfully, carefree laugh, especially when they finished a project or they figured out some puzzle they were stuck on.

I like all ROs except Kael. Conceited, arrogant noble. Ugh 🤦‍♀️😒

I hope MC can show who's boss when they get too insubordinate!

I'm somehow glad Kael still instigates some emotions, anon :)) MC will definitely be able to put them in their place :D but also, there will be some redeeming moments for K

Morgan and Jun is the two I’m most interested in

I don't know why I expected them both to be on the bottom of that poll, but surprisingly, they are sitting snugly in the middle.

Somehow very fitting, but completely ruining what I wanted to do to Jun :))) Back to square one I guess...

RO Picrews

I’ve been looking for faceclaims, atrbreeders, avatar generators and so on ever since I started this game, but nothing seems to really fit. Probably also because I kindof picture them in anime style :)))

But I thought it would still be helpful to have a somewhat accurate visual representation, and since I can’t draw to save my life... I present you some picrews. I used this one, since it was the only one I found that had red/purple skin tones, horns and other random options.
