An animation test from last year’s rejected application to Calarts - rejected. This year I stopped trying to animate and stripped it back down to basics.
Okay part 3 of my rejected portfolio is a bit more interesting. Some concept designs for characters and environments for (hopefully) a future film idea which I’m labeling “adrift” for now. In hindsight I should’ve put more time into them. They feel really rough and unfinished. Also included are some animal gestures.
Soooooo, if you haven't yet heard, I was rejected by Calarts for fall of 2014. I've actually been meaning to make a post about this for some time now. Perhaps one of the main reasons I've fallen behind on posting is because, while I've been a sketching machine, the whole experience took a toll on my self confidence as an artist. I'd now just like to post a couple of the pages from the rejected portfolio as reference for anyone whom may be applying in the future. I loved the opportunity to check out some of the work of the folks who've applied before me, and I'd like to return the favor! So I've been rerouting my path, and first stop is Miami, Florida? Haha here visiting family and praying to the gods, old and new, about the next destination on my path, Cali and CTNX. More to come, but for now, stay chill folks.
