Lletty'r Filiast Prehistoric Burial Chamber, Great Orme, Wales
These schist and limestone structures are two megalithic tombs built circa 3000 BC - in other words, they may have roughly five thousand years ago. These tholoi (also called beehive tombs) are part of a Chalcolithic necropolis formed by 18 tombs located in a place called Alcalar, in the outskirts of Portimão, Algarve, Portugal.
The first images correspond to the Tholos 7, while the last two are from the Tholos 9. Both tombs contained several ossuaries, being the deceased ones - usually, important people from the local communities - buried in fetal position.
