The brunette glances toward the red-headed man, pausing the twirling of the mechanical pencil between her bandaged digits. His question causes her expression to freeze for the slightest of moments. Involving herself with ability users was at a high cost - especially as an ordinary human going through her days in a war she never asked for. Did she hate ability users for what they do? No - never. Just as the raven-haired woman before them - and he, himself - or even the individuals among the Detective Agency, nobody was inherently bad. They were abnormal and eccentric, of course. Yet that failed to make them bad people. Chuuya - while he did bad things - was not a bad person in the slightest. She would admit she was fond of him.
After pondering her answer for what seemed to be like several minutes, Saya places her pencil down on top of the notebook laid out in front of her, with meticulous written notes spreading across the pages in a neat script. Slowly, a small smile spreads on her features as an answer slips through her lips.
「 No - I wouldn’t say that I hate people for no reason. I... Have to be given a good reason to. Even then, I can’t say I would even hate them then. Who a person is, is separate from what their job is or what they do. You can do bad things and still be a good person and vice-versa. Who you are is a person is more important to me than what your occupation is, Chuuya-san. 」
Upon finishing her sentence, Saya twirls a lock of her dark hair around a finger and casting her eyes from him to her schoolwork. She ducks behind her hair, trying to obscure as much of her face as possible.
