full name: jeremiah calhoun waters
gender & sexuality: cis Male / homosexual.
ethnicity & species: alterac-born / human.
birthplace & birthday: alterac / he doesn’t remember (he’s 28).
guilty pleasures: excessive alcohol and recreational drug use. violence & anti-social behaviours. baking.
phobias & fears: living the rest of his life as an exiled failure (soo what he’s doing rn). powerful displays of magic. people who can see through his bullshit when he talks about himself.
what they would be infamous for: he’d like it to be ‘assassinating a king and taking over an entire faction single-handedly for the sake of the syndicate’ but it’s far more likely to be ‘got barred from every single drinking spot in stormwind within an hour of arriving’.
what have they/ would they be arrested for: Cal’s been thrown in jail for a night for petty drunken behaviour, but he’s never actually been sentenced to any of his more Extreme(tm) crimes. Those being grievous bodily harm, attempted & successful murder, thievery, bribery, public indecency & idk being a traitor to the alliance in all its entirety.
character you ship them with: no-one yet... he’s single and ready to mingle. Though Cal is borderline aromantic so relationships aren’t a thing he pursues at all. if anything they scare him. He’s a big inexperienced manbaby in the relationship/emotional attachment department.
character most likely to murder them: LITERALLY EVERYONE CAPABLE OF DOING SO?? Calhoun aims to do one thing and one thing only and that’s get on everyone’s nerves. There’s no surprise if he’s on the hit-list of several people.
favorite book genre: calhoun is illiterate. if he did ever learn to read he’d like adventure stories about knights & the knight being an OP as fuck Hero that he can self-project himself into.
least favorite book cliche: ‘the power of friendship’ trope would destroy the calhoun.
talents & / or powers: Calhoun is a VERY good hunter; he can track and shoot with expert precision, especially with the constant and sometimes unnerving co-operation with his pets. If he’s on the hunt for something, he won’t give up until it’s found. Asides from that his talents lie in dishing out insults and grinning even when someones’ fist is millimetres from his face.
why someone might love them: HM. Difficult question. Calhoun is a very abrasive character, but if someone was to chip away through the several layers of asshole(tm) he’s built, they’ll find someone who can be vastly loyal and pragmatic. Calhoun determines whether or not he’ll reveal that part of himself by how much it benefits him to; he won’t be loyal if he knows he’ll get away with it, he’ll avoid a particularly cutting comment if he knows purposely doing so will earn him brownie points from the said person --- so he can have traits that can make a person love him, but they’re very dependant on what exactly he decides that person deserves.
why someone might hate them: It’s very easy to hate Calhoun. he will purposely search for sore spots to dig at, weaknesses to point out and laugh at, ways to verbally & sometimes physically assert himself as the Bigger Person. It takes a long time for him to start warming up to someone truly, and by then he’s usually pissed them off more times than he can count on both hands.
how they change: Calhoun hasn’t had much ic interaction on here, but over time in-game he has started to change his worldly views. All his opinions of Storm-wind and the Alliance in general were from stories - despite his talk of travelling he lived a rather sheltered life (for a petty bandit) until he was exiled. When he’s involved with the Alliance he learns things aren’t as simple as ‘these are the stuck up fucks who destroyed us even tho we stabbed them in the back-’, and he begins to question whether or not he really wants to earn his place back in the Syndicate or if he wants to make a new life elsewhere.
why you love him: Calhoun was my first roleplay character in WoW back in like.. 2013, for a brief month until money meant i couldn’t play the game too much. recently remade him after being gifted with a months’ time-card and the love for the character sparked back up again.
TAGGED BY: i stole it from my dash and i’ve forgotten who i stole it from tbh
TAGGING: anyone who hasn’t done it and wants the excuse to. go. do it, i believe in you
When Calhoun doesn't have his pets around him, he's lot more cautious and jumpy; he's not as attentive as he'd like, so the majority of the time he relies on his pets for very essential things. They protect him from outside threats, as well as assist him in day to day problems.
It makes going to more populated areas awkward, as he leaves most in the wilds due to their discomfort (and subsequent misbehaviour) in closed off buildings and crowds. The only exception to this is Ham, who is occasionally brought into the streets when he feels like he needs the extra protection/some sharp teeth to add to his mugging business/he's feeling lonely but won't admit it.
Cal around people who don't know him: attempts to use big words to sound smart. Sometimes comes across as sophisticated or at least knowledgeable in some way for the first ten minutes.
Cal internally; doesn't know his own age, has never read a single letter in his life, can only count because he needed to know how much he was stealing off of people, probably pronounces the majority of the bigger words he tries to say incorrectly--
asking cal to ‘play nice’ with his fellow order members is like asking ham to not lick every cookie on that plate before deciding she’d rather have those dog biscuits. doodle from some in-game rp stuff.
Cal can't read, write or count very well; he's dyslexic & has very little concentration for anything he considers academic. While he can count a handful of coins, beyond that he's clueless - he hasn't even bothered to keep counting his own age. His lack of intelligence is something that bothers him greatly, but he's far too stubborn to ask for any help with things he doesn't quite understand.
alteraci man pisses off local dwarf by stealing other members of the guilds’ pay. wip doodle of cal because i realise i hadn’t drawn the state of his face ic.
