Loving the Uluwatu area of south Bali, it reminds me a bit of my home beach community in San Diego. It’s a cool little surfer community, meshed with Bali culture. While we were here, we visited Uluwatu Temple and watched the sunset Kecak Fire Dance. We checked out the beach caves at Suluban Beach and the white sandy beaches of Padang Padang. Each area of Bali and even the neighboring islands that I have visited all have something uniquely special to offer. I can’t decide which area is my favorite but I can say this has been the most rewarding and soul-ful experiences of my life. It was my first time traveling alone intercontinentally, when I did meet up with my retreat in Ubud, I had the opportunity to get to know some genuinely great people and we shared memories to last a life time. Nusa Penida Island is magical, it felt like I stepped back in time and got to see more how traditional Balinese live. We hiked along side wild monkeys and it all ended with a swim at Crystal Beach. Bali Day 1- First day started out solo exploring #seminyakvillage. Checking out cute lil boutiques and shops, had breakfast at @revolverespresso. Then a much needed mani and pedi for only $7, I couldn’t resist. To my surprise my friend and retreat leader, Lauren was in Seminyak too with her friend Lindsay. We met up at @potatoheadbali, which is an phenomenal beach club that has a infinity pool with a walk-up bar overlooking the ocean. Literally was in awe when I walked into this place. We had a few drinks and ate delicious food, @lindseyvictoriastarn did a pizza pool dance 💃🏻;). The girls and I parted ways and I went back to my hotel to have a much needed massage and facial. After traveling for 30 hours, a massage was just the heaven I needed to end my first day in paradise.
