On the rare occasion anyone actually posts anything about Penny Dreadful anymore, it’s really all just people posting ‘Caliban was annoying’, ‘ i didn’t like Caliban’, ‘(insert incel joke here)’ etc and then acting like they’ve made some controversial hot take…. Oh you’re sooooo original and the only one who dared to say what no one else would…. I’ve definitely not heard this a million times before…. Oh you don’t like me??? Wow you must be the only one. 🙄🙄🙄

Meanwhile little mr abandon-your-creations Victor Frankenstein gets understanding and sympathy. I am just so very tired.

I am EXTREMELY (several years) late but I just wanted to say a big FUCK YOU!! to the Penny Dreadful fandom for repeatedly mischaracterising, misunderstanding and just downright being awful to me. You’re all horrible and you missed the point of my character and my story completely. I’m not the person that should be villainised in this story and yet. And yet you all did just that. I did my best but of course that’s not good enough.

If I hear one more ‘Caliban is an incel’ joke I just might scream. Shut up shut up shut up

Its just… really strangely funny to me how I’m a John Clare/ Caliban (Penny Dreadful) kinnie and my best friend is a Victor Frankenstein kinnie (albeit the book version, not PD). I guess we finally made amends, huh?

hey, this is a wolverine from the x-men film series. i guess i'd like to talk to anyone, but most of my memories are from logan & i really wanna find my caliban, xavier, and laura. i remember a couple of times when i'd get really drunk & rant half-nonsensically to caliban, & he'd just... listen. so we were a lot closer than we seemed to be in the movie, i guess. but besides that, there aren't many differences that i can recall. i'm 18+ but idc about age. like or reblog this post for a mssg.
