Dionysus' Chalice was quite a busy place this evening, normally they wouldn't enter when the business picked up but Eddie had been there before the crowd. It had taken some reasoning before Venom finally agreed to a drink, as long as it had the lowest percentage of alcohol intake.

"You know it's really lame you won't let me get drunk... not even a little tipsy." Eddie grumbles to his other as he takes a sip of the worst beer he's ever tasted. Still, a beer is a beer. [It's disgusting and impairs our senses - plus... your liver doesn't seem to like it much.]

“Ah, no, really! It’s okay, I like listening to people talk. You weren’t boring me at all.” She’s quick to assure, smile bright and beaming with sincerity— it’s true, as much as she is a conversationalist, she also quite enjoys being able to listen to people talk. A moment where she fiddles with the ends of her hair ( she thinks she has probably gotten this enjoyment of listening to stories from her childhood, probably ), pausing before she returns her attention to the other. “Please, won’t you tell me more?”

The boardwalk is one of Kay’s favorite places, especially toward sunset. Once she doesn’t have to worry about sunburn, it’s a perfect place to find dropped money and other treasures. It’s not technically stealing if someone dropped it, right?

She pops up from searching under a bench, nearly running into a stranger as she does. Right away she notices his appearance; she’s never seen anyone with eyes like that before.

Her first concern, however, is offering an explanation for why she’s crawling under benches.

“I wasn’t doing anything suspicious!”

“...Well, fuck.”

That mohwak is unmistakable. Devon probably should be happier to see someone else familiar, but that just means that Bhaksaara and possibly the others had also gotten stuck here, far from anything even remotely familiar.

Devon himself doesn’t look entirely familiar; he’s traded his robes for more appropriate clothes, an oversized leather jacket over a loose gray shirt and denim pants. But the beaten satchel over his shoulder is still the same, and his thin but genuine smile is very much recognizable as he waves down Bhaksaara from the sidewalk of Fibonacci.

“Look who decided to show up. Was wondering when you’d come around.”

♦ \\ this feels all-too-familiar, and in a way bhaksaara does not appreciate.  he sighs as he’s urged to exit the strange mechanical carriage and step into this giant city, sprawling with people of all shapes and sizes with buildings reaching the very tip of the sky.  if he wasn’t used to traveling to strange and mystifying places and if he hadn’t lived in waterdeep, one of the largest metropolises in faerûn, for so long, he supposes he would be terrified.  instead, he lets out a long, deep sigh, running a hand through his indigo hair.

          “well, shit,” he says and shakes his head,  “at least i’m somewhere that’s more colorful than barovia.  hey!” he calls to the nearest person to him, walking briskly over to them.  “do you, uh––sorry to just come up to you like this; i wouldn’t do this if it wasn’t important––would you mind telling me where i am?”
