Goodbye California. It’s been real. ✈️😭
We changed AirBnbs just for a night to spend the last night in Huntington Beach. We got hippie breakfast (an amazing açaí bowl for me, fuck yeah California) and laid out on the beach for awhile and then rented bikes and rode them a bunch of miles up and down the coastline.
California was incredible and all I can say is that 4 days was not nearly enough and I definitely need to go back. I loved it though. It was perfect and everything I could’ve asked for, and I had the best adventure buddy to do it all with.
🌊🏝🏙
After Griffith Observatory, we walked the Hollywood Walk of Fame for a little and then Laine’s cousin who lives in L.A. and is a screenwriter got us into a live taping of Jimmy Kimmel which was one of the coolest experiences ever! We sat in the VIP lounge with an open bar (didn’t care) and unlimited free fancy hors d'oeuvres like balsamic onion grilled cheese and chocolate stout cake (cared a lot) and watched a bunch of vegetables be shot out of a cannon. Then we got to walk on the stage after the taping (no photos of anything because we weren’t allowed), and we went back to Laine’s cousins house for an amazing dinner & great conversation. It was a perfect Hollywood day.
Griffith Observstory yesterday ☀️🌿🏙
Our own huge secluded section of the beach, crazy bouldering in the ocean, walking around really cool art galleries, an incredible lunch with the perfect coffee, laying out by the pool & a swanky hot tub, more sushi than a human person should arguably ever eat, and then mint chocolate chip ice cream in bed. Honestly, what more could you ask for in a perfect day?
Once upon a time, back in September when we were just friends, I told Laine that I really missed the beach and the ocean being as that I grew up very close to the ocean and spent a lot of time there. He (only slightly) jokingly said that we should go to a beach for spring break. 6 months later, here we were today, on Laguna Beach in California. Dreams really do come true. 💫

There’s no furniture but it’s 62 degrees and gorgeous outside so we made it work ☀️
