What is my book about? [Spoiler free]
My main character - Bridger Banks; a trans male university student with vitiligo and sectoral heterochromia in one eye. He's loosely connected to his fellow classmates with a secretly abusive relationship with a bully from his childhood. Not to mention a terrible relationship with both his mother and father.
Bridger also has a gift, he has the ability to see places, landscapes and scenes from other worlds - he believes this to be a medical condition though he doesn't have the ability to get it diagnosed. This ability leads to him ending up in one of these 'other' worlds where this center of this novel takes place.
My secondary main character (and love interest) - Calix Ashide; a young royal born into a lineage of both Woodland and High Elves with a Mother; the Queen, who rules the country with an iron fist. He is adept at protective magic and has a personal love of litrature
He stumbles upon Bridger when Bridger finds himself having been transported to one of the reflections he was so used to seeing. Confused, cautions and ultimately distrustful of Bridger, Calix escorts him back to the castle where their journey together begins.
Where does this all take place?
The country where the large portion of my novel takes place is called Concordé (pronounced Con-core-day), a country that is highly diverse but ruled by the Queen who herself is a High Elf. Concordé's major climate is woodlands complete with caves, water ways and caverns. There is a major port town that connects Concordé's trade to other countries and a cursed forest that has all manner of unholy creatures living within it's depths.
