Send 🌋 and my muse will blurt out the first thing that comes to mind when they see your muse @medium-green
“You probably taste as sweet as you act!”

Hc + sleeping
send me ‘ hc ‘ + a word and i’ll write a headcanon about it regarding my character.
When away from home, even if he’s in a place deemed ‘safe’, Shin almost never sleeps (properly) if he can help it.
His sleeping habits are poor at home as well, but it’s more intentional there. However, when he does fall asleep, he’s as likely to be in his bed as he’s not.(More commonly, one can find him asleep at his desk, in a chair in the main room of his home, the floor, somewhat-rarely in the front yard, and so on. If it’s one of the less suitable places, he usually has to be carried to somewhere better.)

character flaws meme
🙊what would my muse say their biggest flaw is
If asked about it, Mariko would say her biggest flaw is her fiery nature, which often leads her to react before thinking. The reality, however, is that Mariko’s biggest flaw is her ‘Hero complex’. She jumps into dangerous situations head down and does all she can for others (even when she’s not asked) because she has a strong need to impress people and being meaningful to them. Which not only puts her own life at risk on several occasions, but can also make her easy to manipulate, and potentially work against her own goods at time.
I've been trying to figure out what printing service to use for acrylic charms and since durability/scratch prevention is an important factor for me, do you know how easy or hard it is for a charm from acornpress to get scratched up? (Like from being dropped on concrete a lot by accident or accidentally being brushed against sharp corners or sufaces)
Kiriska: Regardless of your supplier, basic acrylic charms are all functionally the same: they are ink printed directly on top of plastic (acrylic). Since acrylic is a smooth, hard surface, the ink cannot seep into the material and merely sits on top of it. Single board charms, where the ink is exposed on one side, will always be prone to having the art scratch and chip.
Different suppliers may have small differences in ink composition that may adhere it better to the acrylic surface, but scratching single board charms against a sidewalk or whatever is likely to chip it regardless of supplier.
The best way to mitigate scratching is to protect the printed design by either getting double board acrylic charms, where the art is sandwiched between two pieces of acrylic, or by getting an epoxy coating over the exposed side. Vograce offers both of these options.
The acrylic (+epoxy) itself can still be scratched. Acrylic is still a plastic and anything that’s harder than it will be able to scratch it, but with double board or epoxy coating, you can at least protect the art.
Off topic from characters made by Penders, but still Penders writing related - does it irk you or anyone else too that he seems to have the need to have at least one word in italics in every speech bubble? Because when I read it, it makes me read it in my head as everyone always talking like they're aggressively pointing at something... it's like a geronimo stilton book where the decorated words are italicized instead. :U
Oh yes, becuase not only is it irritating, its an abuse of a neccessary mechanism in comics. Because comic books are a visual medium, you occasionally need to put a certain emphasis on words in order to indicate the in-universe emphasis, hence the italicization or bolding. Some writers however overdo this, and Penders is an especially egregious example. And then of course there’s his constant abuse of the exclamation mark, which makes it seem like everyone is yelling...
sAW YOUR TAGS, I also miss Psych, buy hey, they're getting a holiday movie!
WAIT REALLY???? Omg yessss!! The show was so good and then had their rushed ending after USA failed at scheduling times.
