“YAAAAH!!!!” People were cheering this pop idol on, honestly it was HARD to hear the guy sing over his screaming fan, but it came with the territory he guessed. Yusuke had managed to get a spot to sell his goods within the grounds of this live concert. He had his own stand and everything and his ramen and fried snacks were selling like hotcakes, mos of his customers with younger girls  mostly because they wanted a closer look at the mascot doll that laid right at the counter. Whenever anyone would gently poke his tummy or even pat his head then his floppy ears would raise along with his arms and he’d give a cheerful ‘Puu’ sound.

“You’re a goldmine buddy.” Yusuke spoke towards his little spirit beast with a hushed tone and a wide grin on his face. Alas, it had been an hour and he was already sold out. “Time t’ head back to the van for refills.” He placed the ‘be right back’ pamphlet upon his stand, took his spiri beast and places him at the top of his head as the two now traverse through this filled fields as the singer continues with his vocal lyrics, the song before was more upbeat..but this one was terrible slow, a love song. “Bleh..” He made a song as his eyes caught something..peculiar.

A young girl strolling through the crowd rather innocently. Bu his eyes were quick and sharp enough to spot what was really going on. “Pickpocket huh.” Yusuke spoke under his breath as he casually strolls forward, not too fast to raise suspicion and not too slow that he’d lose her in the crowd and once her arm extend to grab another wallet he quickly grabs her by the wrist. Nice try five-finger-discount.”

“  YES  MA’AM !!  ”     it’s said a little too eagerly,  zenitsu hopping up from where he’s seated & joyfully trotting to her side.     it’s not just the promise of a  treat  that’s got him so happy,  though :    he respects the hell out of shinobu & does,  in fact,  enjoy spending time with her.

how’s my portrayal meme / accepting / @callainas​ : The how’s my portrayal meme, uhm yes, hello. I e been following Jay for like 2 days but I’m absolutely in love with their portrayal. It’s as if a part of my childhood came to life right in front of me. I hear yusuke in every post and I just love their yusuke so much, it’s honestly such a joy to see you on my dash!

AW MAN Kit here hittin’ me in the feels so late at night..or actually so early in the night. I really hope I can express how much I love this boy with my writing and i’m glad I seem to be doin’ great so far. Promise I’ll keep up the good work and try to be even better.

It was another hassle but Yusuke had managed to get Anya out of school. Having formally met her parents it appeared that he’s actually gotten the green light to spend time with their daughter as long as he promises to bring her back before it got too late. And from there, it’s been sunshine and rainbows for the two of them ALTHOUGH Yusuke couldn’t help but feel he was being watched upon the first few days, he couldn’t explain it but he always felt the cold embrace of death whenever he’d hang around alone in alleys at night and then there was always the strange feeling that someone had been in his home upon more than ONE occasion. 

But slowly those feelings all evaporated with the weeks they’ve spent time together. Today after getting her out of school (and almost headbutting a teacher being difficult) the first place they went was the arcade. They’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time on that stinking crane game only to come out empty-clawed, Then it was virtual boxing where Yusuke displayed his prowess as a martial artist ONCE AGAIN taking the top spot in the score, spelling the word ‘ass’ as a placeholder. 

Anya then turned to him, pulling upon his pants leg then pointing at the racing games. Naturally she alone was too small to sit upon the seat and drive the car..not to mention she was too young to be playing such a game BUT who the hell cares?! She was with him and this was just a game after all. “Wanna test your luck behind the wheel? H’alright.” He said as he sat upon the seat, picking her up and setting her gently upon his lap allowing her to hold the steering wheel.

“Alright, let’s paint you a scene. You’re a spirit detective, and you've managed to save me and Puu, but now a bigger and stronger demon comes outta nowhere and you’ve gotta get us out of there in your getaway car.” He spoke up to her, creating a scene in her mind before inserting a coin into the machine and the lights began blinking as the game came to life. Yusuke’s foot pushes onto the pedal that acts as the gas to give her car a roar.

Honestly, they were such a sight that other people looked at her, and then there were other kids from the ages 6 to 11 that circled them. Overhearing the story thinking it was soo cool, wondering if it’s from a book but they also cheered for her. “Go Spirit Detective Anya.” “Yeah you can do it.” Among other words of encouragement were spouted from the surrounding children. ‘Great, I come up with one story and we’re friggin’ celebrities..I hope I don’t have t’ end up feeding all of ‘em.’ He thought within the back of his mind.

The fair was..nice. He couldn’t believe that even someone like him could still have so much fun here. Yusuke had adrenaline for all these rides and that’s exactly what he had done. He rode the roller coasters, which were fun but if he had to make one complaint is that it wasn’t fast enough. Sure there were times he was in fear of falling out of his seat but to think of how much more scared he’d be if the ride was so much faster. He also tried some games here and there, even spotted one of the kiddos having trouble with the shooting ring. The boy tried and tried but nothing he fired even hit.

“Hmm, regular folks can see things like this either way.” He spoke as he spoke a spot to hide but in clear shooting distance behind the child. “C’mon kid, don’t quit on me now.” Yusuke spoke with a hushed tone under his breath taking aim with a single finger, the boy in question was saddened but he was stubborn enough to give this one more try, even his parent now came at his side to cheer him on. “You can do it son.” The man said, encouraging his child. “Oh he’ll do it alright pops.” 

He clears his senses, listening for that ‘click’ everytime he pulled the trigger and each time that happened Yusuke shot what he would dub now his ‘spirit pea shooter’. Little thufts of spiritual energy merging with the air to be invisible to the naked eye and once they’re crashed against a target the nthe board will light up with another small ringing tone heard. The boy continues shooting and shooting and Yusuke followed suit hitting all the targets worth the highest points until the boy’s gun ran out of ‘ammo’. Checking the points that he’d scored the man was impressed and had no choice but to offer the child a choice between his biggest stuffed dolls.

“OH YEAAAH.” The boy cheered happily as he took the lil chibi alligator and continues laughing as he walks off with his old man, leaving Yusuke there now coming out of his hiding spot with a smile on his face. “There ya go kiddo that’d make sure you go home smiling.” He smiles himself, still happy to see that if the ramen business DOES crumble then at least he can be a clown or somethin’. Eyes then turned to spot a woman looking at him, huh, was she looking at him this whole time? Did she ACTUALLY see him shooting the targets? Nah, he must have just looked like some goof out of place making finger guns. Consider a regular human shouldn’t be able to see his spirit energy unless he wanted them to. “Ah, so…nice night we got huh.”

Tonight was going great so far, he sold so many cups of ramen along with other Japanese assorted snacks towards many people and for the most part they all left with a smile..others just left too preoccupied on their damn phones to appreciate this service. Either way it was still good and it was almost that time he closed up and then traveled down towards the old trailer park where the homeless people sought refuge and passed around however many snacks and meals he’s got left within the pots. 

For the rest everything was great, though he couldn’t check up on Anya like he had wanted to earlier..or the way he was told to by Koenma. Not even a spirit detective anymore in ‘legal’ ways but still working an important case for him because the others were just not as skilled as he is to deal with something this sensitive. ‘Hrmmm, I bet she was okay. If anyone picked on her in class I’d just dump ‘em in the hot oil.’ He thought at the back of his mind.

A Little protective but then again who wasn’t when it comes to people they consider close? Though speaking of the devil, among the crowd of traveling adults and other teenagers that enjoyed the nightlife he saw Anya walking towards his truck. The hell was she doing out so late he thought, if her psycho mom realizes she’s gone he could imagine what she’d go through to find her. So, as grateful as he was to see the little ball of sunshine, he still greeted her with a yell.

“The hell Anya?! What are you doing here? Do you know what time it is young lady?? Eight o’ friggin’ clock?! Do you know how many jackasses are out this time of night to abduct cute kids like yo-” His sentence was interrupted as the ‘plush mascot that was kept next to the register sprung to life once no one was watching and then the next moment he was into her arms to cuddle with her. REALLY making it hard to take Yusuke’s mature lectures seriously. “You’re killin’ me here Puu.” He took out a skewer of colorful dango and handed it towards the little one. “Okay, you’ve got my attention..spill it..why’re you out here at night?”

THE  OLD  CATHEDRAL  IS  QUIET  save for their exchange.     the pair had stumbled into the church after a lengthy battle that had left them injured,  exhausted,  & unable to find their way back to the hostel that they’d been staying at ;    the priest had welcomed them with a blessing & had allowed the two exorcists sanctuary,  even offering them the chance to stay in the rectory for a more comfortable night’s rest.     but allen,  being allen,  had kindly refused out of courtesy to the man & had reassured him that they would be fine to stay in the sanctuary  —  after all,  somehow he’s always felt  comfortable  in churches.

though he  had  given lenalee the option to decide for herself,  she’d chosen to remain with him,  something that the mercurial exorcist will never quite understand.

she knows what he is.     she knows what he’s  capable  of.     she knows the risks involved in remaining so close,  yet she does it anyway.     allen isn’t certain if he should admire her resolve or chide her for her silliness.

“  you don’t need to do that,  lenalee,  really,  ”     the younger exorcist flusters.     “  i will rest once i’m sure that we’re safe.     it’s hard to get any sleep when akuma could target us at anytime,  as i’m sure you understand.     we might’ve destroyed that cluster,  but another could appear at a moment’s notice ... especially with  me  around.  ”

a gentle,  gloved hand rests upon her shoulder,  its owner flashing her a warm smile.     “  please don’t worry yourself on my behalf.     you need your rest as well!     i will take the first watch,  you lay down with timcanpy & try to get some sleep.     all right?  ”
