They Seek Him Here, They Seek Him There, That Damned Elusive Christmas Grinch!
You can go years without a single sighting of The Grinch and then all of a sudden he is causing mischief everywhere that you look. If you were lucky enough to be in Callander on Saturday for Winterfest then you would have been treated to an overload of Grinch goodness.
He was there in answer to an invitation from his friends at the Clanranald Trust for Scotland who were dressed in their yuletide attire, entertaining the Winterfest guests and selling lots of Christmas goodies in their shop at St Kessogs in Ancaster Square. The Winter King, Mother Earth, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman and lots of cheeky elves had dusted off their outfits to help get everybody in the mood for our favourite time of year.
In amongst the festive market, the bell ringers, Santa, the brass band and the switching on of the Christmas lights, the Grinch tiptoed his way from one mischief making scheme to the next. Don’t worry if you missed him though, we have heard that he will be sneaking his way into the Yule event up at Duncarron Medieval Village this weekend (5th and 6th December). All of the Council of Legendary Figures will be there along with the elves and the trolls, maybe even a unicorn. We don’t fancy their chances at keeping the Grinch in line but it will be a whole lot of festive fun for all the family. So get your warm outdoor clothes on and come up for a glimpse of your favourite green humbug. There’s no knowing when he will make an appearance again...
