Christmas Trees aren’t pagan…So why are people so obsessed with this myth?
Before you respond in anger, ask yourself:
- do I think this because it feels right or because I have evidence?
- is the evidence a blog post without citations? (See also TikTok, tumblr post, etc)
- do I think this bc I’ve thought it for a long time?
- what evidence do I actually have?
- how much time have I spent researching this? (again: opinion pieces without citations don’t count as research)
Scholars agree: there is no solid evidence linking Christmas trees to previous pagan traditions…
