Finished The Will of the Many by James Islington a few days ago

AND OMG? It was so good?

Plot, world building and characters are absolutely phenomenal. The sci-fi fantasy -ish Roman Republic inspired government corruption vibe just resonates with me lol.

Vis is such a great protagonist, what a pathological liar.

For those who haven’t read it, 10/10 recommend if you like sci-fi, fantasy, or Roman history in an academic setting with lots of lore, high stakes and revenge.

Anyway major spoilers ahead but I made fanart of THAT ONE SCENE AT THE END (cough cough) that ripped my heart out, shattered it and stepped on the pieces. It’s a WIP but hopefully I will colour and finish one day…🫠 (and add more blood, this piece needs more blood lol)

Another battle serfs of the traitor legions, though she seems more assasin than the war preacher before. For whatever reason in 40K I always just assumed humans are just rocking loincloths and rags as privates wear, cuz they're living in like apocalyptic mad max foolish times but in space. But it makes sense for em to have actual bras and underwear, that's not so complex.
