I’ve always had a thing for paper crane (“orizuru”) symbols. Traditionally, the crane represents good fortune and longevity, as well as, a symbol for hope and healing. The Japanese refer to the crane as the “bird for happiness.” So you can just imagine my happy dance when I managed to get my hands on this paper-crane chopstick rest which doubles as my penholder rest. ☺️✌️ Taking this as a symbol for more good things to come, as the year comes down to the last two months of the year.
