“Out of the way!” Only after she had jumped on the girl, shielding her with her body, did she realize that it had probably been a bad idea. Now her shirt had a fresh bullet hole in it (unfortunate), she had a girl underneath her (less unfortunate), and a guy with a gun still running towards them (extremely unfortunate).

Once she stood up, it only took one punch to knock him out. She thought whatever company he was working for would’ve hired tougher muscle. “Sorry about that, mi’lady. Sometimes you can’t help being chased by the lackey of a big corporation you’re trying to expose for fraud and killing the last C.E.O.”

        ❛ ya know, when i invited you over to study, i didn’t think we were actually gonna study. ❜ peter mutters, while using two fingers to crinkle and then flip the page of his textbook. it’s friday night, after all. michelle might have homework, but there’s no way it’s due within the next few hours. still, he’s willing to pretend to study if it means more time together. between school, applying for schools, his job, and moonlighting as spider-man, a friday night in which they’re both free has been virtually unheard of. he lets the book fall shut then, propping his chin up in the palm of his hand. ❛ we should do something FUN. something that you think is fun. something you think is fun that isn’t reading. ❜ the hero clarifies, tone slightly teasing, expression playful as he watches the girl across from him. the tips of his fingers tap gently against his cheeks, their text books and spirals spread out around him on his living room floor. truthfully, he’s more curious about what she might consider fun than anything else. ❛ you know, take the edge off. ❜

“Wait!” she yelled out before abruptly stopping in the middle of the street and fumbling with her bag. “I’m being serious! Move and you’re dead to me!” Misty quickly got her camera into her hands and took a quick picture of her friend. “Aw, MJ. It’s so good! Please don’t make me delete it,” she sighed in content, showing the other girl what she had just taken.

See, here’s the thing about secret identities. THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO BE SECRET. Shocking right? So, no matter what anyone else said, Peter thought it was a perfectly logical reaction to face-plant on the concrete when the teenage girl, whom he had just saved from a group of shady guys who looked like they shouldn’t be allowed anywhere with in an 20 mile radius of children, yelled (yelled!!!) ‘Thanks Peter!’ For the whole goddamn neighborhood to hear!

Okay so, yes he did know this girl. Her name was MJ, sometimes she acted like his friend, and she was extremely cute. But how the hell did she figure out he was Spiderman? It’s not like he went around wearing a t-shirt that proclaimed “I’m Spiderman Ask Me How!”, it’s not like he was that obvious! ......Right? And another thing, just because MJ knew, why the hell did she think it was okay to say it out loud! Loudly! In public! AND ANOTHER THING. How the fuck was he supposed to respond? He couldn’t confirm anything, he couldn’t stay silent, what was the right thing to do here?

Somehow he thought that what he did do, yelling “I don’t know who that is, sorry miss...uhh gotta go bye.” after picking himself up off the ground, was not the right thing.
