what about 6? 💛
Thanks for this ask Call! I think @fremulon asked about the same number, so I might cheat and give two pieces of dialogue because I got the ask twice :P
I sort of cycle through a love-hate relationship with all my writing (the W of doom) but in general I am incredibly selfish and my favorite parts of my own writing are the lines that, when I write them down, instill some kind of reaction in me--the more visceral, the more physiological, the better. The most recent chapter of my AU (The False and the Fair) has a line like this, that punched me in the gut when I first thought of it and that I’ve been carrying around in my head (and in my scrivener binder) since June, waiting for the story to progress enough to put it out in the world. Anyway, it’s this one, which is about a fish and also not about a fish:
Crowley’s face changed. The expression on it morphed into something both puzzled and sad. “If you didn’t want to hurt him, then why were you trying to catch him?”
