Musician Focus! Callum Baptie - Musical advisor, “Over & Over” chorus backing vocals, dear friend. What's your favourite song on the EP and why? My favourite by far on the EP was 'Open The Red Door'. I found that being present for the recording in the studio was such a memorable experience as we tried to capture the raw emotion of the track. In the end having taken the first initial take of the track in it's roughest form and keeping that as the 'truest' representation of the song was the perfect solution (opting away from a multitude of re-recordings and edits as would be standard practice)- and it makes the end of the EP even more intimate and personal. What inspired you to be a musician? I don't know what inspired me to be a musician- I've always felt creative and wanted to share stories and emotions with other people in creative ways. After trying many different formats I always return to music as the perfect way to share what's in my head. Question For Leon: What song from the EP do you most look forward to taking out on a Live tour? ‘Over & Over’. Without a doubt; its my personal favourite from the EP. I will likely only do this and ‘2016’ from the EP.
