Actually I guess Jill’s fine with having a draw today because it was obvious, even to her sometimes blurred eyes, that all women on the pitch tried really fucking hard to make her proud but the soccer gods said “NO”.
The USA played well from what I’ve seen during the second half of the game, even though they were mentally prepared to kill all opponents just to get another goal. They weren’t the ones getting two (?) yellow cards again (one became a red card so justice is served).
Now let’s give these badass women some rest until the nwsl play-offs and the November matches for the USWNT start.
I can’t really wrap my head around the fact that we might see a completely different USA roster in less than one month. Let me say, I really hope they don’t mess with Ash, Ali, Alex, Tobs, Christen, Julie or Kelley. I’d definitely rage a little too much if they weren’t in the new roster!
