   A moment of tense silence followed to the other villains blatant mockery, only static crackling on the line as neither of them said a word... until Otogiri began to laugh softly, the sound coming out distorted from Tempest’s speakers.

    ❝Now, I don’t think you’re doing them justice by addressing them as children.❞

   There was no remorse in the man’s voice as he spoke, his words holding only amusement to them. Both of the alleged children were of age... and not to mention fully aware of the risk that came with playing Heroes.

     ❝But, if you truly see them as children still... then I wonder, what does that make you, who has actively tried to court one of them, Senpai?❞

   Once more there was a soft chuckle cutting through the static, broken and choppy as the already weak connection stuttered even more.

     ❝Not to mention that I might have used them as shields... but it had been you who launched the attack that cost them their limbs. Please try not to blame me for your actions.❞

   While usually such an act would have resulted in her getting flustered, taking the wind out of her sails, it clearly wasn’t working this time. Not backing down in the slightest, the much shorter girl stood her ground and returned his flirtatious look with a glare, telling tales of her anger. She had been lenient with him so far, but today, the villain had crossed the line.

    ❝That was the fifth bento this week, Tempest. The fifth!! Do you have any idea how much time I spent yesterday evening to prepare this?!❞

   Having found a new recipe rich with her beloved apples, the young woman had spent hours to prepare her lunch the night prior, taking a lot of time to prepare the dish - only to find it missing during her trip today, replaced instead with a friendly note, left behind by the all-too-familiar thief. So, naturally, she had stomped to his club as soon as her shift had ended, ready to slamdunk the villain into the closest trash can at first chance.

    ❝I was looking forward to this!! Thanks to you, I’ve had to eat the same stupid convenience-store sandwich for the past week! Can’t you go and steal someone else’s lunch for a change?!❞

   She had been enjoying her evening, listening to the radio and humming softly along to one of the songs that was playing, when Tempest entered in his usual fashion; sudden and loud. Flinching hard enough to almost drop the frying pan with which she had been working, Kanna gave a yelp and hurriedly set the iron tool down, before turning to look at the intruder - hoping that her face wasn’t quite as red as it felt.

     ❝G-Geez!! Do you have to do this every single time? You could at least knock!❞

   Trying not to comment on the phrase he had greeted her with (for her dignity’s sake), the young woman instead placed her hands onto her hips in a desperate attempt to appear stern rather than helplessly flustered.
