This has been my favorite cookie recipe since I first tried it, the apesauce version tastes like apple pie 🥰
hi! i have an ed and i’ve never been able to seek proper recovery for it. i am vegetarian and i’m partially vegan, i feel so bad emotionally and physically when i eat dairy products. i try my best to eat enough to feel physically well and what i think would be maintenance amount. i do not count calories. do you think going vegan is right for me?
Hello, love! I feel your struggle, I am a vegetarian and never gained true medical help for my issues, so my diet has changed a lot and learning what I need was a shocking change! I worry about your idea of becoming vegan. One I would ask, Why? Is it 100% about the animals? Or is it the idea that Vegan = Healthy. Dairy products are healthy, I wouldn’t recommend solely subsisting off of skyr, but we need the nutrients and calcium! Meat as well, and some people actually stopped being vegan to be more sustainable, so eating meat and dairy does not mean you aren’t thinking ethically! (Veganism can be amazing and sustainable but there are also downsides it’s all about research and planning tbh) Wild I thought, but the research checks out. I’m also not sure what you mean about a Maintenance Amount of calories, but if it’s about subsisting, not enjoyment and thriving, then it’s not good. You shouldn’t be worried about the amount, you have thousands of lost calories and tasty foods to make up for. We also need a lot more food to be healthy than the internet, social media, and health bloggers want you to think. If you really want to go vegan I recommend waiting until you’ve been more stable and have support to make that change, or seek out a nutritionist and follow their plan. Stay safe!

I hate the fact that when I look up "minimum number of calories needed to survive", talking about being out in the wild and shit, all that comes on is diet websites. This is why people starve themselves for fucks sake
Staple recommendations: cold cuts, smol tortillas, and lemon-pepper seasoning. The last one is variable depending on tastes and ability to drop $15 on a mixture of spices once or twice a year, but the former two are essential if yr Bad At Food. A turkey wrap (3 slices and a tortilla) gives you about 130 kcal and 7(!) grams of protein, which is calorically insufficient but can give you enough brain to make some pasta. The cold cuts are also a great meat source to add a little protein and flavor to pasta and soups.
Two addenda: I use wheat tortillas apparently, so be careful if you have butt problems w wheat; I just checked a bunch of food products and 7g protein isn't actually that much, I'm just used to biochemistry involving like 0.1g quantities
I have to go grocery shopping soon but I only ate 300cal yesterday and I havent slept (it’s 12.30pm) I’m either going to throw up or straight up die
I've been intermittently using the same calorie counting app since 6th grade (anorexia reasons but this time I'm just trying to track how much protein vs carbs I'm eating bc I can't stop gaining weight and I'm like wtf) and it's NO LONGER ON THE APP STORE!! KILL ME!!
