Jk. 55-65
That’s what I thought.
55. Most used phrase?Right now, definitely “そうですか??”, haha. It’s become such a habit that I even say it on Skype calls in English. But before that, I was big on “OK but what about [X] tho.” 56. Most used word?Same deal. Currently it’s そう!My students made fun of me for always saying “Yeah yeah yeah!” when I was on the same page as someone, but I pointed out that they do the EXACT SAME THING (そうそうそう!) and now I’ve started to do it in Japanese XP. In English, definitely “dude.” I call everyone dude. I call my mom dude to get her attention, the same way people say “Hey” or “ね” or the Anglo-Saxon “Hwaet.” (And if I offend someone, pleeease call me out! The word has lost any nuance of gender for me since I use it to grab everyone’s attention, but I know it hasn’t lost that meaning for everyone.) 57. How long does it take for you to get ready?Oh my god, like an hour and a half. It’s just kind of difficult for me to get started or accomplish things, these days. I’ll put one leg through my stockings and then sit there and stare at the wall for five minutes and then sigh and think about putting the other leg through my stockings and then do that and then rest and recover for another five minutes and then grab my skirt and etc. 58. Do you have much of an ego?Kiiiiiiiind of? I like to think that a lot of the time I’m pretty chill, but if we talk about a field I’ve done well in (fencing, for example) I’m sure I insert myself into the conversation more than is necessary.59. Do you suck or bite lollipops?Suck.60. Do you talk to yourself?Yes, rather a lot. I live alone and it just kind of happens.61. Do you sing to yourself?Way more than I talk to myself. I like to sing.62. Are you a good singer? The English department seems to think I am, after karaoke??? They brought it up like a million times the next day. I was really surprised. I know how to hold a tune, but I don’t think I’m particularly good.63. Biggest Fear?Let-downs. My whole life has been pelted with broken promises or “I’ll do [X] later!” that were immediately forgotten, from people I should have been able to trust. At first it made me very skeptical of people in general, but lately it’s been crumbling into something of a phobia. I start to get really nervous and shaky if someone says they’re going to do something and I’m involved, even if it’s something silly like “let’s talk about this lesson plan tomorrow at lunch.” It’s really dumb.64. Are you a gossip?Well, I spent my childhood being bullied, so I really don’t like gossip and don’t condone it in any way. BUT I’ll definitely admit to, when someone repeatedly irritates me, finding one person I know who is also bothered and venting with them. Maybe that’s a form of gossip. But I do try not to let anything spread outside the two of us, because venting is healthy.65. Best dramatic movie you’ve seen?Hmmm. Right now Se7en is the only thing coming to mind P:. It was really good, but I haven’t seen many dramatic/thriller movies. I prefer comedy and horror.
