I have a really short section of an eventual longer piece I could submit as a drabble. Or I could submit one of my previously published stories as a “break glass, pull string” measure.

we’ve had a few people offer to do this, and if no one worries about the ‘integrity’ (?) of big bang being written only during the time period or whatever, then I could approve this. Otherwise... I’m not really sure what to do, tbh. Extending the writing deadline another two months and letting the other writers come back in, if they want? I’m honestly at a loss for what to do.

Thanks! My current essay is actually super interesting (and so will the upcoming two) - I'm mapping locations in a novel, who has access to those locations, and who has the power to grant or block access to these spaces. The paper discusses how this constructs the plot. It's totally fascinating.

(Also omg when/if you make a game you must tell me. Y'all reading may not know this, but Calypso's art and writing are both utterly amazing.)

Story Title: Love is a Battlefield (Peace Comes if We Both Give Up)

Pairing(s): Bann Teagan/Queen Anora Warnings: a tiny bit of violence Story summary: At the Landsmeet, Daphne Cousland suggests that Teagan marry Anora, instead of Alistair who wants nothing to do with the throne anyway. Teagan and Anora begrudgingly agree at Daphne’s insistence, with no plans set for an actual ceremony until after the Archdemon has been defeated. Anora doesn’t trust Teagan farther than she can throw him, believing him to be submitting only to the political machinations of his older brother, Eamon. Teagan may not have picked Anora on his own, but he’s willing to give their marriage a chance even though he knows he’ll have to fight for it. When Alistair is discovered in Kirkwall, Eamon suggests that Teagan hand over Rainesfere to their nephew to entice him back to Ferelden. Teagan is unready to hand his land over to an angry Alistair who doesn’t seem fitting for the job which puts a wedge between Teagan and Eamon, and when Anora finds out what Eamon’s plan has been to get Alistair a title… and ever closer to the throne, she and Teagan’s marriage might finally prove to be as fragile as it looks to the outside.

Artist notes: I was so excited to work on an Anora Mac Tir-Theirin/Teagan Guerrin art piece; I like both characters in general, so seeing them in a different dynamic was fun. I really enjoyed working on this piece (despite dealing with an ill-timed bout of the Flu), and Cherith’s story was just wonderful to read and draw inspiration from. As far as I know (dealing with the exact same issue), there's no way to tell until after the Landsmeet. He'll never want to be king, and then when it's time to make the definitive choice, he'll go from "::grumble:: I don't want to be king" to "Hells, yeah, I'll be an awesome king!" in very nearly the same breath. Are you too far ahead in all your saves to check your conversation log from the Goldana quest and subsequent party camp talk?

I’ve been there and I gotta say that I like it when he goes from “I don’t want to be a king ): ” to “Make me king! >:o I’ll kick Anora’s ass! I’ll kick everyone’s ass! I’ll kick my own ass!”, but alas, the poor guy just went “What? Nonono why did you do that I thoUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS” in this run. Sigh.

Sadly, my earliest save is in Lothering, and the next one is about 15-20 gameplay hours later. So I don’t think that’s really an option c:

But I guess I’ll just let Anora have her throne. From what I’ve heard, she makes a good ruler, and Alistair can continue on his merry, darkspawn-killing way (8
