Local alien dragon forever yearning for his royal not-boyfriend
Why does anyone ever let me say any shit, ever
Dear Wyrm, Poor Wyrm, would that I could save you. Would that I could save both of us. Fate hath dealt a cruel hand to we both ; but know I bear you no ill will. You bear no more fault in our pain than the waves that crash upon the shore. I hope that one dawn, you will find peace. (xoxo calyrest)

The wounds on the surface have sealed, thanks to his sacrifice, but the torment of this dimension bending around him, distortion through extra-dimensionality, remains.
At first, Eternatus doesn't speak. He simply lays his head upon the ground before the Once-Was-King and closes his eyes, a strange reaction rearing in his core. One he'd not felt before.
He wanted to touch Calyrex, wanted to be gentle, tender even. Yet this piece's claws stilled in their movement, resisted the urge.
His touch was toxin, and Calyrex had long since been poisoned to the brim. It was only a matter of time, wasn't it?
His thoughts finally, quietly, ring back in Calyrex' mind.
Would that I could leave, would that I could take your pain and your death back. Would that I could have never blighted these lands. I know not what fear is, but is this what grief may be?
Their pain remains undeterred, their fates irrevocably intertwined.
