it won't let me link in an ask but your robron first kiss gifset from 30 july for example
ah yes i might have disabled links in asks bc of spams
by the way, thank you for the compliment! was barely awake when i answered your previous ask and it didn't register.
The post in question is here : @reorientingtothexdaylight | Be kind. Always.: You alright? Yeah. Don't worry, you don't have to... (new url for the time being https://kev-sugden.tumblr.com/post/790513511671496704/you-alright-yeah-dont-worry-you-dont-have-to)
Note: I got the 1080i file from uksoapshare through an email with the guy in charge of it. I don't think the 1080i is available on the blog as a direct link. It being such a good quality allowed me to crop much more.
my process :
untouched gif vs result
smart sharpen 1 & 2:
which looks like this : (his freckles are a tad more visible already)
camera raw filter:
it's already looking better : (freckles are HERE)
but i still want to color correct a few things so here are the adjustments layers i used :
curves & corrective color (or however it's called, i can't remember the translation for that one)
vibrance & hue mixer
photo filter
how does it look throughout : (no layers / +curves / +color correction (so it's a bit less red) / +vibrance (to bring back colors a bit) / +hue mixers (so it's a bit less yellow) / +photo filter (so it's a bit less green)
and because i love to compare versions, the filters vs the final result :
i wanted to remove some of the red without losing it entirely + adding some gray-ish blue as it's the night + it's the garage + they're trying to be cold with one another
(it's probably not an exact gif from the gifset, i picked a random moment where the light & color correction would work best to show my process)
feel free to ask about any gifs!
i'll gladly answer any DMs about gif also, if you feel like coming off anon :)
