I took this photograph with my Canon 1300D DSLR camera. one of the strangest people in the history of Bavaria must be King Ludwig the second. He came to the throne in the 1860s and , thanks the Prussian dominance, lost his crown pretty quickly. however, he was allowed to call himself King and own the royal lands etc. He was a patron of Wagner and was fascinated with Germanic folklore, a romanticised version of medieval Europe, King Louis 14th of France and the chivalry of kingship. His first new home was an homage to the sun king, then he built a ‘proper’ medieval castle. Of course he already owned several medieval castles, but they did not live up to his version of what it was like in medieval times. so he knocked down an actual medieval castle and built his there instead. This photograph was taken in his father’s castle, near to Ludwig’s medieval home. The swan was an emblem of the kings of Bavaria. I like the way my canon 1300D balance the color and blurred the background so that the stature stands out.

This is a picture I took with my canon 1300D DSLR camera. When we visited Germany on holiday this year, we popped into Switzerland and went to St Gallen. It is a lovely city - very old with some very pretty buildings. We stayed in a hotel which used to be a military academy. It was quite basic, but the welcome - and the breakfast - was superb. We took a tour of the city that evening and I took this picture on the way to the Abbey of saint Gall. The Abbey is stunning with an amazing old library which has books that go back to the 9th century. I am very happy with my Canon 1300d, but I am aware that it tends to slightly overexpose pictures. it is more noticeable in pictures like this. I made sure to set the exposure levels down half a stop to compensate.

One thing I really like about the Canon 1300D is the Food Mode. I don’t know any other entry-level DSLR that has a food mode, But i really like using mine. It makes the camera slow down the shutter speed and increases color saturation so that the food looks rich and appetizing. I think this ideal for people who want to shoot their food and then upload it to social media, as the camera also has bluetooth and wifi. Of course the quality of the pics are much better than shooting on a mobile phone, so you get the best of both worlds. It turns a simple picture like this into a proper still life - a work of art. The Canon 1300D.

I was really impressed with my Canon Rebel T6 when I took this picture in a museum in Munich. It was quite a dark environment with no natural light. This shot was taken on the automatic/no flash setting and I haven’t done any further editing. Considering the big difference in the lighting  - the very bright lights and the dark corners - I think the camera has done a great job. I took my Canon Rebel t6 / Eos 1300D everywhere on my holiday to Germany and it performed really well.

The Canon 1300D has an 18 Megapixel sensor and a DIGIC 4+ processor, which makes it very quick, giving bright pictures with good clarity.

This is a picture of the Olympic Village in Munich, Germany, with my Canon 1300D DSLR camera. I really liked taking this camera on holiday with me. It is small and light, which means it is easy to carry and it has excellent picture quality. The weather was very bright, so i went into the 1300D menu to lower the exposure. I do find that the normal exposure for the Canon 1300D is a little too bright, so i needed to darken the shots down a little.

I think the olympic village is a great place architecturally, and I am pleased to see that people still live there. It is quite close to the center of the city and made a very pleasant day out.
