Tripping in Triplets - The Dear Hunter at the Somerville Theatre in Somerville, MA 05/09/12
The entire Blue EP was so beautiful.
The Dear Hunter was amazing last night! I had so much fun. I'm so happy I got to see all of The Color Spectrum live, talk to Casey again, see Andy Hull play for the Red EP, and meet Cameron Thorne of Naive Thieves. Even though we had trouble finding a parking space (hahaha) it was such a great night!
The Color Spectrum show in Somerville was beyond amazing!
I waited 6 months for this event, from the time I got my tickets to last night, it surpassed expectations. You never realize how much you truly love the Violet EP until you hear it live in its entirety. All of it was amazing, but Violet definitely stood out to me the most. Then, of course, it was all brought home with... "Home", the opening to the final color (White). The energy of the crowd was fantastic and it was awesome to see Andy Hull of Manchester Orchestra come out for Red and guest vocals by Naive Thieves' Cameron Thorne. It was an unforgettable night. Now to wait (im)patiently for the DVD.
I just got the Le Sheik Rhat EP by Naive Thieves in the mail today, along with the Dark Lonely Ocean picture by their lead singer, Cameron. He even signed the picture and I also got a note from him thanking me for the support.
That was a nice way to end the year.
