It hasn’t been a week since I finished my Camino, but my head is spinning with future adventures I’d maybe like to undertake someday: trekking in Nepal; one of the GR trails in Europe; a section of the 1900-mile GPT in Patagonia; part of the 1900-mile Te Araroa in NZ (you ever do this Collette?); another Camino.... These show where I am today and how close I am to my destination. The one on the right is zoomed in. Today I will walk 19 miles to Cee, and tomorrow, 9 miles to Finisterre (Fisterra on this map. Still unclear on the different spellings. Might be a Galician dialect thing). After Finisterre, I head north to Muxia and meet up with @pee_air24 and Marie-France, if all goes well. That’s my Camino dream for a perfect ending, at least. Day 35: Negreira to Santa Mariña, 13.6 miles/felt like 16. Today was beautiful- very few other pilgrims, and I had entire swaths of forest to myself. Lots of dairy farms, too. Also gentle hills. Not many places to stop for a coke or a rest, so I kept going. I am tired. My body is tired. But I am walking to the sea, and my mom always said that water makes everything better. I’m at a delightful albergue called Casa Pepa, and Peoa made me a reservation down the road tomorrow. There is a veg dinner at 7 and so I’ll nap a bit before then.
