June 25, 1993

Dear Diary,

I'm at camp.  The sad part is B.M.* isn't here. I got red swimming it was cool.  My counselor is Krista.  There is one guy who is always staring at me and one cute guy is Dave.  He's the kitchen helper.  The classes I'm taking are braiding and handicraft. 

My cabinmates names are Melody, Sarah, Jenn, Jenny, J, Amy, Julie, Holly, Kathy, Heather, Leah, and Nancy.  

Julie made me mad today.  She told Dave I liked him.  Now over lunch I felt like barfing because she said he was going to embarrass me in front of the whole camp.

Now I'm kind of sad.  I was having fun talking about Dave and singing Davy Crockett, but Dave already has a girlfriend.  She's coming to dinner tonight.  Dave's last name is V*********n.  Winger is his brother.  

I got two pictures of him and he put his arm around me.  Dave is sooooo cute.  I love him, I love him, I love him.  I'm also giving him my Michigan key chain**

Well.  First Dave asked for me and Julie and Sarah's names.  And when I went to throw away garbage he said hi to me.  We went talking with Dale and hiking with Gretchen and Dawn.  Dale was really funny.  He got up on a rock in the middle of the river and said "I claim this river for Red Maple!" and Julie asked Dave if his name was Dave and he said "No it's River."

**I was very into making braided keychains and I made him a yellow and blue plastic braided keychain.  TOTALLY what a college dude would be into.
