Summer Preview Day!
This past Friday, August 3rd, Smith College Admissions hosted our annual Summer Preview Day! Smith hosts four of these Preview Days every year: one in the summer, two in the fall (9/29 and 11/12 this year) and one in the spring (4/6 in 2019). Preview Days are wonderful opportunities to visit and tour Smith’s campus; meet admissions officers, faculty members, current students, and other prospective students; and attend special information sessions and activities that are not normally available to students who visit campus on regular days (usually you only get to do a tour with a student and a general information session with an admissions officer). Here’s what the schedule looked like for this Preview Day:
In addition to organizing tour routes/schedules for tour guides and giving a tour at 10:15, I helped to usher prospective students and their families to and from events, attended “Putting Your Best Foot Forward” with my coworker Minji just for fun (it was super funny!), and joined everyone at the lunch at noon to mingle with prospective families and faculty members!
