Historic Churches The Alberta landscape has many beautiful Ukrainian churches. In the Round Hill area, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, dates back to 1925, replacing a previous log constructed building. The period of 1890 to 1930 was one of a large immigration into the Canadian prairies of Ukrainians.
