As the man spoke, Kara nodded her head and shrugged her shoulders. 

“Well, I guess you could call cheating on me with my best friend pretty fucked up.” she admitted, being mostly over it until she saw him there tonight. She managed a smile, glad and grateful that he had agreed to help her out, leaning against the bar as they spoke. “Honestly, I’ve been asking myself that exact question many times since it ended, I could do so much better.” She didn’t mean it in a stuck-up way, just that she deserved better than an idiot who would rather sleep with another girl than her.

It had been a long night of studying for Ellie. She had a test in one of her college classes coming up and for the past few days she had been studying as much as she could because the test was a significant part of her grade. It was almost 10:30 in the morning by the time she woke up, pushing herself up and looking down at the book she had fallen asleep reading. With a heavy sigh, she got out of bed and walked out into the living room area and then into the kitchen, putting the kettle on the stove to heat up water for tea. She thought about Oliver and wondered if he would want any tea or coffee and she almost headed for his room before she remembered he had brought someone home. Again. Figuring it best to leave the two alone, Ellie perched herself on the kitchen counter, looking down at her phone while she waited for the water in the kettle to warm up.
