Haters/Enemies to lovers?

This is another toss-up that depends on the way the story flows.
Personally, I’ve had a good experience with making some stuff that has enemies turn to lovers, and I enjoy it when I write it!
On the other hand, some people can use this to justify tropes like abuse, rape, pain kinks, syndromes, bad behaviors, etc. that are…well, not to my tastes.
When both parties grow, and they learn to adapt to one another, grow and accept each other in the fullest way, and they both strive to do better for each other, that’s when it’s done fantastically right.
And I feel that both parties should have some kind of change; it doesn’t mean one has to go completely good or the other completely evil. They just both need to have cohesive developments together. You know, like a couple.
Applies for rivals to lovers too. Or frenemies, since that’s a thing, I think.
