Sex Pollen: A++++++++++ top of the Tier A/U. I will read sex pollen of ships I don't even like. FUCK, I will read Sex pollen of Eddie Diaz fucking people I do like! I don't care. Give it to me. All day, every day. Bonus if it's got a stench of non-con on it. Mmm. Yes. But also bonus if it's "we love each other and this is just us being forced to admit it. "ALL FLAVORS. IT'S ICE CREAM. THERE ARE NO BAD FLAVORS.

Fuck or Die: A+! Solid A! Also yes. Separately and in addition to Sex Pollen. If it's more Pon Farr like? Or "Fuck or we will kill you?" Allllllll the better. Bullet proof kink. I will also read this about people I otherwise don't give a shit about. I do prefer this one to lean into its natural Dub Con nature, though.

Soulmate A/U: Solid A-. I don't really believe in Soulmates per se, so it depends on how it's written. I prefer when it's messy. There's not just one soul mate, there's multiple. Maybe you can fuck up and erase their name entirely from your arm because of life choices you make. Maybe they die, and their name disappears and another one forms and OH NO. :) Maybe you just have six million names on you because you have platonic, romantic, and sexual soulmates. Messy. I like it messy.

fic trope asks - i would also like to know your rating for a coffee shop AU, and a summer camp AU!

Coffee shop AU--I'll give this one a C. I get the appeal, especially if the source material is something like sci-fi or high fantasy that's completely the opposite of a coffee shop AU, but it's not something I actively seek out to read for myself.

Summer Camp AU--B or B+! I love the nostalgia of this one personally, I've even written one (for Mercy Street, so putting these Civil War doctors and nurses into summer camp counselor roles was a treat) The world-building of this kind of AU is super fun, I love coming up with all the details and the lore of the camp.

Fix-It: A , solid A . A++ even. The bigger the canon disaster the better the fixing. I love a tragedy and I love ninety billion fics explaining how That Never Happened, They're FIIIIIIIINE XD

Hurt/Comfort: ah, one of Schroedinger's Tropes-- the fic will either be exactly what i want, or make me back button immediately, for ephemeral and mysterious reasons even I cannot entirely explain. A and F, somehow , both at once.

Soulmate AU: solid C? generally the ones I like are the ones interrogating the premise, and that's a lot of them! So it depends on the author pulling that off, or doing something else fun and weird with it, but a lot do!

Whump: F, without prejudice. There was a time in my life when this was my absolute Peak Fic Trope and then a switch flipped and I Cannot Read It . It's like the way when I was 10 I could eat one of those giant Pixy Stix and still want more and now I cannot even handle one (1) normal sized paper tube of pure sugar. It's not you, Whump, it's me,but still : F.

haha, that's actually one of my least favorite tropes, and I've only written it a couple times bc one of my best friends asked me to bc she loves it and I love her. 😅 So I can't say 0% chance of me writing it, but very low odds it'll happen again unless Rhi asks again xD I don't outright hate it, it just doesn't do anything for me so there's lots of other things I'd rather write.

Part of the problem is almost all my pairings, at least one of the two is entirely willing to sleep on the floor/couch/chair if there's not enough beds. One of the time I wrote it I had to finagle by saying one of them was so drunk the other shared a bed to keep them from wandering off during the night and getting hurt, and the other I had to make it too cold out for sleeping outside a bed with a blanket.

Okay, that's a real tough one. I don't think I've come across that one yet, so I don't really know... It should be my jam, considering that I do enjoy some Angst etc. And I mean, I know for a fact that I am going to write a variation of it so on that account alone I should rate it highly but...

Fanfic tropes: mistaken identity, unrequited love, pregnancy fic

Mistaken Identity: C

…I don't know that I have ever read a mistaken identity fic on purpose, and I am totally drawing a blank on whether I've read it at all? In fanfic, I mean, obviously I have read it in fiction generally. I'm sure I'm forgetting something and you will remind me what it is lol.

Unrequited Love: A

YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES. Obviously as an Aldflaed shipper this is something I am into, but I truly live for when the love remains unrequited indefinitely/permanently, or when the affections the characters have for each other are mismatched in some way. It's prime angst, especially if there is a foundation of trust and/or other types of love. FLAMING ELMO DOT GIF!!

Pregnancy Fic: D

I don't read fluff so I think that eliminates a lot of pregnancy fic, and I will very quickly nope out of a fic if pregnancy is handled in a way that's unrealistic or annoying. I hate when authors apply a modern medical understanding of pregnancy to historical settings, that makes me insane lol. And I don't enjoy the way gender is often treated when it comes to fics that feature pregnancy, so very often it's just not my cup of tea.

what do you think about the trope where the whumper is actualy a past whumpee and now is forced to torture another whumpee and kinda feellings guilty/reliving their trauma?

Not sure if this makes sense tho, also not sure if it's an actual trope.

Also, what do you think about tropes where a non-human whumper is taking the human whumpee as a pet?.

Im writing both currently in the same fic and i wanted to hear the opinion of somebody as good as you at writing whump

Huge fan of any forced to hurt scenario. good stuff there.

I don't work with nonhuman whumpers much, but I treat them much the same despite physical and otherwise abilities.
