A year ago today, April 15th was the first time I saw House parties. They're a small band I found on YouTube.

When I went to that first show I was sitting outside on a bench and Chaney, the lead singer was out there taking pictures for social media. I talked to her after she was done and she was so sweet to me and took the time to chat with me before the show. And it could have just ended there.

But we talked on Instagram a bit after that and we kept seeing each other at shows. And then I kept going to see House parties shows. The more we interacted the more I liked her and the closer we got.

Before I met her I didn't have any local friends and through her I've made friends with so many amazing and talented people.

I love this woman, these pictures are in order from the day we met till last night and I think you can tell just by looking at them that we got closer through the year we've known each other.

You guys should really support House parties, they're talented and amazing people.
